“Responsible AI use absolutely necessary”: Microsoft Microsoft’s head of AI strategy has Ali Dalloul, Microsoft highlighted the need for responsible and ethical technology use and said that the firm is committed to delivering the “democratisation” of artificial intelligence to promote equality and advance human potential.

Titled “Unlocking Digital Opportunities with 5G” the White Paper reveals startling statistics about the impact 5G will have in the GCC, including the fact that 5G could generate almost USD270 billion for the regional ICT sector in the next decade.

After that, robotics and drones, VR and transportation move into the top priorities, along with continued enhancement of MBB. Overall, VR for on-demand video streaming and VR for 4K/8K live video streaming use cases have the most potential to profit operators in the region.

Given 5G’s wide-ranging applicability, the Whitepaper makes the case that a digital, sliceable platform is critical to 5G success, as it offers agility and adaptability. I think governments are becoming very tech-savvy, and are using technology in the best ways available to them. This is a crucial element of MAT, because it allows companies to offer additional training to individuals who have shown that they are most at risk of being taken in. The method is ingenious.

Mimecast takes a malicious email and “deweaponises” it and then sends it to the customer. Based on how individuals respond, they are given a score that indicates their level of awareness.

“We give the customer a score for each individual within the organisation; they can identify the problem children and make sure they're not pressing on thing they shouldn't be pressing on,” said Ogden.

Bulwark to expand to Saudi, looking to double its turnover in 2019 Bulwark Technologies, the UAE-based distribution firm says they are expanding to Saudi Arabia and looking at more than doubling the company's turnover in 2019.

The value-added distributor says there is a growing demand from Saudi Arabia for date security and end point security solutions.

The company says it registered a ten per cent growth year on year. "We are expecting it to increase to about 30 per cent by the end of 2019," says Jose Menacherry, Managing Director, Bulwark Technologies.

"We recently expanded into Oman and now have operations across the GCC, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan.

Security, he says is one of the key concerns of most enterprises and companies are setting aside budgets to ensure their data is secure. "We are expanding our vendor engagement and tie ups to enhance this critical area," says Menacherry.

Taking the express route to digital transformation

The digital transformation solutions vendor CentraHub has a major new solution on show at this year's GITEX – and it has already generated a buzz with customers.
