New Plymouth

Taranaki’s only city is a vibrant hub embraced by the wild Tasman Sea. With Pukekura Park at its heart, the city is edged with the Coastal Walkway from the Port to Bell Block and is dotted with other walkways and top class surf beaches.

New Plymouth is home to the world-renowned GovettBrewster Art Gallery and Len Lye Centre. And has many excellent restaurants and cafes, plus food trucks and coffee carts.

New Plymouth is also alive with festivals – and is home to the Bowl of Brooklands, where countless international acts have performed, including WOMAD NZ.
