Trade Taster – Salon Assistant

Course Description

The Salon Taster program delivers training to small groups of students over a block period as per your school timetable. Throughout the program, you'll complete units from salon related courses. The best part is that the program has been designed to fit around your other high school subjects, allowing you to get a head start on your career while maintaining your studies.

It is important to note that successfully completing this program will not give you a formal qualification or any Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) credits. However after completing the Salon Taster Program you may want to continue your training with a TAFE at School qualification and get a head start on your health career pathway while you're still at school.

Parking and Public Transport

Staff and Students

All staff attending Robina Campus must register their vehicle using this form. Registering your vehicle with TAFE Queensland entitles you to park in an available TAFE designated car space. The car park is operated by CarePark. Fines will be issued to vehicles that are parked in non TAFE Queensland spots or where the vehicle has not been registered.

NOTE: When registering using the linked form, please allow 2 working days for the surveillance system to be updated. In that time you should use the EasyPark app as per visitors instructions below.

Please remember though that even if you have registered your vehicle with TAFE Queensland, this only entitles you to park in a TAFE designated car space.

Campus Visitors

Download the EasyPark app in advance to register your vehicle on arrival at campus. Follow the EasyPark instructions. In the unlikely event that the app is not working, visitors should report the fault immediately on arrival to the Security Team.

Visitors, staff and students must park in the dedicated TAFE Queensland car spaces which have the TAFE logo on the ground. Parking anywhere else risks a fine.

There is a second lower level carpark with TAFE Queensland allocated car spaces. The driveway to this area is accessible from the ground level carpark and is on the opposite side of the building to the lifts.

ACTIVE TRANSPORT

Electric Car Recharging Spots

There are 10 EV Charging Spots on campus for use by students, staff and visitors.

Off Campus Car Parking

Street parking is limited and adherence to time restrictions is critical to avoid parking fines(administered by the Gold Coast City council).

CBUS Stadium is offering student/staff parking under the VUE Building for $5 per day payable on entry. This carpark is approximately a 10 minute walk from the campus.

Train and Bus Travel

The Robina Train Station is a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the Robina Campus. There are multiple bus routes stopping at the Station and also at the Robina Town Centre which is less than a kilometre away.
