Course Description
Kick start your career in design with this entry-level course.
This course will prepare you to work as a junior designer or give you the foundation skills you need to undertake further studies in the field. Research shows that creativity, communication and problem-solving will be the most desired skills in the future job market.
You will gain the core skills needed to work in both the creative industries and in corporate settings. Developing practical skills and knowledge to explore the use of colour, produce drawings and generate design solutions.
This course will also give you the practical skills and knowledge to produce innovative digital images, produce pages using a page layout application, and process photographic images. Our highly experienced and passionate teaching team have years of industry experience and will give you the one-on-one guidance needed to prepare you for a career in media design.

Students need to meet at the Customer Service area on Level 2 for direction.
This program is offered to year 10, 11, 12 students currently enrolled in and attending a State, Private or Independent Schools in Queensland
Resources Required
• Headphones
• General stationery
• External hard drive (minimum 500GB)
• Purchase or have access to the student version of Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs, in particular Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop and Indesign. Equipment and software is available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations.
Recommended: A reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software
Campus Facilities
The Coomera Creative Campus offers a range of courses including Graphic Design, Screen and Media, IT, Cyber Security, Interior Design, Building Design and Music.

The facility offers the best creative learning experience in the region. The campus features a range of specialist facilities including Mac and PC labs, recording studios, digital video and editing suites, and a Black Box Theatre.

Course Fees
This is a non-VET in School (VETiS) funded program. It is a full fee for service course and payment plans are available for all courses with fees over $500.00. The payment plan will then be set up on a fortnightly direct debit scheme, over the duration of the course. Alternatively, you can also pay your fees in full at the time of enrolment.
