Annette Blackett is a part of the Tabor Adelaide Alumni, having graduated with a degree in Teacher Education (Primary) in 2007. Since then, Annette has taught in Australia, England and Mozambique. It is her belief that “children are the same the world over… all in need, and deserving of, genuine love, care and a sound education to fulfil their life potential.” Annette is the co-founder of The Child’s Place (Australia) Fund, a not-for-profit organisation promoting education and community development in Mozambique. This multi-denominational organisation promotes Christian beliefs. Their mission statement is centered upon creating a better life for the people of Mozambique, “...there is a special place in the world for them…a place to feel safe, to have hope and to know freedom, a place where they can experience life to their full potential...” Annette is doing truly inspiring work, proving that one person can make a difference in the world.
