Based in Los Angeles, Lee Hwa Wedding specializes in traditional Korean dresses, or hanbok, which are typically worn at weddings or special celebrations, like Lunar New Year. Lee Hwa has been passed down matrilineally for four generations and is currently run by Laura Park. Park was the first to bring her family’s timeless designs and generational expertise to America, opening Lee Hwa’s Los Angeles studio in 1993. Since then, Lee Hwa has become an iconic representative of Korean-American style, working for celebrity clients and designing one-of-a-kind wedding gowns. Although Park specializes in wedding and modern hanbok, Lee Hwa recently created a line of handmade face masks in response to the pandemic.
