WWE Mission Report Meribo Ethiopia, May 2019

Dear friends, In the month of April we didn’t have any campaigns in Ethiopia, but I was invited to five different churches here in Germany.

The word of God has the same power and the Holy Spirit is the same whether in Africa or in Germany. The only difference is the condition of the soil. I am more than willing to serve with the word of God in churches or home groups!

Meribo From 1 to 5 May we had an evangelistic outreach in Meribo, Ethiopia. We were actually supposed to be in a different location but were advised to go to Meribo instead due to potential ethnic conflicts. It was a relatively small outreach, with eight local churches working together. We were on the premises of the largest church there. The meetings were very blessed. The pastors were happy and extremely thankful that we had come. One of them said they would now be holding courses for new believers again for the first time in many years. About 150 people came and responded to the altar call to give their lives to Jesus.

Testimonies of healing In every service we pray for the sick! Here are some testimonies:

This woman had suffered severe pain for years, spent a lot of time in bed and could hardly walk. God touched her and she was healed.

This woman said that she had gone partially blind three years ago and can see again now.

This man testified that he had had a growth on his neck for eight months, which had severely impeded his speaking and swallowing, and that the growth had disappeared. He can now speak and swallow again without any discomfort.

This woman partially lost her sight five months ago as the result of an accident. She can see clearly again now.

This teenager told us he had been as good as deaf since he was four and could only hear faint sounds.

Jesus opened his ears and he can hear everything again.

From 19 to 23 June we have our next evangelistic outreach in Ethiopia. If you have given, expect a harvest, as a farmer who sows also expects a harvest. God will give you what you need, whether it is healing, a job, financial provision or help for family-related problems. Switch on your faith and trust God to do what he says. “And God will generously provide all you need.

Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.� 2 Corinthians 9:8.

THREE KEYS FOR REVIVAL!

When you read the Acts of the Apostles it is striking that the Word of God, the Holy Spirit and the Name of Jesus are mentioned repeatedly.

The disciples preached the word, were filled and anointed with the Holy Spirit and understood and made use of the authority of the Name of Jesus!

THE WORD! Paul said to Timothy: “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction,” 2 Tim. 4:2. The Word of God is the power of God! God created this world through the Word of his power, Heb. 1:3. The Word of God has the power to save sinners, heal the sick and set captives free. “He sent his Word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave,” Psalm 107:20. Jesus said: “My words are spirit and they are life,” John 6:63. God does not confirm our word, he only confirms His Word. The Holy Spirit said the following words to Reinhard Bonnke: “My Word in your mouth is just as powerful as my Word in my mouth.” God’s Word does not return empty. It has the power to move mountains. The more boldly we proclaim it, the more the Holy Spirit can do. God spoke, “Let there be light!” and the Holy Spirit carried it out! The same still happens today. We proclaim God’s Word and the Holy Spirit plants it in people’s hearts, allowing sinners to be saved and the sick to be healed. The key to every miracle is the Word of God. Mary received the Word that the angel Gabriel brought her. She treasured the Word in her heart, became pregnant with the Word of God and the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We, too, must receive the Word just as Mary did. God’s Word will cause your spirit to become pregnant and at some point your miracle will come to birth. The Word of God is the key that unlocks hearts. The angel said to Cornelius: “Send for Peter; he will speak words to you through which you will be saved! Peter proclaimed God’s Word and while he was still speaking the Holy Spirit fell and confirmed the Word.

God confirms his Word, not our word. The more we proclaim God’s Word, the more signs and wonders will follow us. Why do we not see more signs, wonders and healings? One reason is that we proclaim our doctrines instead of the Word of God. “... Enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus!”, “With great power the apostles continued to testify ...”, “The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people.” Acts 4:29–30, 33; 5:12.

THE HOLY SPIRIT! A further key in the Acts of the Apostles was the Holy Spirit! Jesus did not allow his disciples to proclaim the gospel without having received the power of the Holy Spirit. They first had to wait to be filled with this power.

Holy Spirit. They were filled with the Holy Spirit, led by the Holy Spirit, driven by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was the Lord of the harvest and he sent the disciples out. Even the deacons had to be men full of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit now took the place of Jesus and became for the disciples what Jesus had been to them. He is Jesus’ representative on earth. Jesus himself had to wait 30 years for the Holy Spirit before he could begin his ministry. Jesus received his baptism in the Holy Spirit when he was baptized by John in the Jordan. All believers in the New Testament were baptized with the Holy Spirit either at their conversion or immediately afterwards. The Bible says there will be a mighty revival and outpouring of the Holy Spirit before Jesus returns. The gospel will be preached throughout the world and what happened back then locally in Jerusalem will happen all over the world at the end of time. God will pour out his Spirit on all flesh and the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. Millions of people will come to faith and receive the Holy Spirit. The supernatural will be natural and the church of Jesus will be a church full of power and glory. All the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be operating in those last days. Signs and wonders will happen again. The key to this is the Holy Spirit, for it will not happen by human power and ability but by my Spirit, says the Lord.

THE NAME OF JESUS! Jesus told the disciples they would do the same works that he had done, doing them in his name. In his name we drive out demons, speak in new languages and place our hands on the sick to heal them. Peter healed a lame man in the name of Jesus. They forbade the disciples to speak in this name. Jesus promised that wherever two or three are gathered in His Name he will be present. Wherever the Name of Jesus is revered, Jesus is present with all his power. Jesus is present in His Name. His Name stands for his presence, his authority and everything he is able to do. The Name of Jesus has authority in heaven, on earth and under the earth. Hell remembers when Jesus was there and took the keys of hell and death from the devil. Hell trembles at the Name of Jesus. The Name of Jesus gives us authority over all the works of the enemy, over the powers of sickness and over demons. People who try to make life difficult for us are influenced by evil spirits, by demons.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood; in other words, people are not our enemies, but rather it is the devil, who influences people.

In the Name of Jesus we have authority to stop and bind these evil powers. We can halt sickness and break its power. We can also release finances in the Name of Jesus and we can command the devil to take his hands off our money. We have to use our authority and should command the devil to get his hands off our bodies, our families, our finances, our souls and our fellow human beings. The power to bind and loose in the Name of Jesus was given by Jesus to the church on earth, since in heaven there is nothing to bind or loose.
