The new loudspeaker system in use in Enchini and Silkamba (Ethiopia)
Dear friends,
In the second and third weeks of May, we again held two evangelis�c campaigns in Ethiopia. We were in two remote loca�ons: Enchini and Silkamba. Time and again, we arrive in areas where no one has ever been before, and that's where we o�en see God's power and work most strongly.
We were able to use our new sound system for the first �me. It’s just the right shoe size for us. With it, we can reach up to 100,000 people. All our equipment and the new generator fit in our 11-ton truck. All we need now is our own stage. And that would also fit in the truck. We are well prepared for the coming years, especially thanks to your faithful support, which has made all this possible. Our success is actually your success, because without your regular support, we would be helpless. We will con�nue to go to all the places the Holy Spirit sends us, be it ci�es or villages.
Last year, we applied to the city of Addis Ababa for land because we want to build a church and a training center. The mayor then contacted us. Dereje, our staff member, had an appointment with her. She is sympathe�c to us, and we believe we will get the land. However, we will have to compensate the farmers who currently cul�vate the land. We have the opportunity to train thousands of lay pastors and want to offer them a short-term Bible school. This training will be so prac�cal that the students will be able to apply their acquired knowledge immediately. They will be taught various topics. For this purpose, we have already translated Kenneth Hagin's courses into Amharic: 26 lessons each on faith, prayer, healing, and the Holy Spirit and his gi�s. These are also the topics we preach at our evangelis�c mee�ngs. Everywhere we feel a great hunger for the Word of God.
At the evangelis�c mee�ng in Silkamba, we saw so many healings that the pastors could hardly believe it. They had never experienced anything like this before. People accepted the preached word in faith and experienced it. Many came and tes�fied that they were healed. People who were blind or could barely see tes�fied that they could see clearly again. A woman who had been deaf for 15 years can now hear again. When she learned 15 years ago that her husband had died, she was shocked and fainted. When she came to, she was deaf and could no longer hear. A�er the prayer for the sick, she was able to hear again. There were so many tes�monies, and you can see some on the next page.
The next evangelism event will take place at the end of June. July is the rainy season. Two consecu�ve evangelism events are planned for August. Our finances are a prayer request, because everything is ge�ng more expensive. Star�ng in June, the government will impose 35% tax plus 20% pension insurance on all salaries. To ensure that ouremployeesarenotdisadvantaged,wewillcover the costs. As long as we stand in God’s will, He will provide for us.
Thank you so much for all your love and support. Who knows how long we can con�nue to do all this unhindered, because dark clouds are gathering on the poli�cal horizon. The devil is trying to steal peace to hinder the gospel. We will work as long as we have the opportunity.

GOD’S RECIPE FOR REVIVAL
in the Book of Acts
The Book of Acts is the con�nua�on of Jesus’ ministry on earth through His disciples. Jesus said that the disciples would do the same works and even greater works a�er He returned to the Father. Could it be that Jesus meant the new birth when He spoke of greater works? For under Jesus’ ministry, no one was born again. Being born again was only possible a�er the resurrec�on, and a�er the resurrec�on, Jesus appeared only to His disciples for 40 days and gave them instruc�ons through the Holy Spirit. The disciples were the con�nua�on of Jesus’ ministry on earth. Jesus now lived in His disciples and did His works through them. He gave them the same Holy Spirit that empowered him, he gave them his Name, which authorized them to do the same works, and he gave them his Word. The disciples went forth and preached the Word in the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit confirmed the Word through accompanying signs and wonders. This is God’s recipe for revival to this day.Jesus is God’s gi� to sinners, but the Holy Spirit is God’s gi� to His children. The Holy Spirit is the wind of God, the breath of God, the spiritual oxygen. Without oxygen, we are dead, and without the Holy Spirit, people are spiritually dead.
The name of Jesus is another key
When a woman marries, she usually takes her husband’s name. She takes on a new iden�ty. What belongs to her husband now also belongs to her, and vice versa. Jesus gave us his name and the right to use it. In prayer: “Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you!” Against demons: “In my name you will cast out demons.” Against sickness: “In my name you will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Jesus did not say that the sick would some�mes be healed, but o�en not. No!He said, “they will recover.”
The name of Jesus also enables you to pray in other tongues. The Holy Spirit has a unique prayer language for every believer. It is your personal, direct line to the throne of God. When Satan sees you, he does not see you, but Jesus. We should be aware of this.
The key of the Word of God
The first key is the Holy Spirit Jesus could do nothing without the Holy Spirit. Jesus was completely dependent on the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, Jesus could say, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me! He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim deliverance to the cap�ves, to proclaim healing to the sick, to set the oppressed free, and to proclaim God’s favor to all people.” Jesus could only carry out this mission through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. The church of Jesus has the same mission and can only carry it out with the help of the Holy Spirit. The world must be taught how to receive Jesus, but the church of Jesus Christ must be taught how to receive the Holy Spirit and how to work with Him.
In 1 Corinthians 12, it says that the Holy Spirit distributes gi�s to every believer. He has more gi�s for you than just speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit has a gi� of healing for every sick person. Paul says that we should not be ignorant about the Holy Spirit and His gi�s. But we hear almost nothing about this because there is so much ignorance about it.
Jesus was anointed to proclaim the gospel. Anointed preaching is also needed today. The farmer can pray for a harvest, but if he does not sow seed, his prayers are in vain. A�er he has sown, he can pray that God will bless his seed, mul�ply it, and make it grow. Reinhard Bonnke said, “An unpreached gospel is not a gospel” and “God’s Word in your mouth is just as powerful as God’s Word in His mouth.” The unadulterated Word must be preached, not a gene�cally modified gospel. “Preach the Word,” Paul said to Timothy.
In Acts 19, we read that Paul taught the Word daily in Ephesus for over two years. His daily services lasted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a total of five hours. And so the Word grew strong, increased, and prevailed. Paul preached to people who were hungry, so that they wanted more and more. Revival came to Ephesus, and with it came persecu�on.
How can revival come when people are already sa�sfied with a 30-minute Word-snack per week? But the body wants to eat a good meal three �mes a day.
The recipefor revival was: The Word was preached,the Holy Spirit was poured out, signs and wonders happened, demons were cast out in the name of Jesus, andthe name of Jesuswas li�ed up.
