e would like to welcome everyone to our 16th annual bull sale at Wheatland Cattle Company at the farm near Bienfait, Sk on March 26. First off and MOST IMPORTENTLY we would like to thank our customers, friends and family without the support of each and every one of you we cannot do what we do.
We are a family run operation and we take what we do very seriously. We are passionate about our cattle and how we can produce the most profitable product to increase your bottom line. We’ve been in the cow business along time and understand how the business works… it’s pretty simple we do what our CUSTOMERS want and demand. We raise cattle that make money for the commercial cowman. Yes, over the years we have shown a lot of cattle and been successful HOWEVER, WE HAVE NEVER LOST SIGHT OF FUNCTIONALITLY AND REAL WORLD TRAITS. We take great pride in the fact the same cattle we show are the same cattle that pay the bills and have worked very well for both the commercial cowman and seed stock producer across the country. We truly believe our biggest strength lies within our cowherd 50 years in the making and hardly any females ever sold. Udders, feet, fertility, fleshing ability and disposition are all traits we pay strong attention too in the Wheatland cowherd. You can rest assure the mother to your bull has met the criteria. When people come to look we strongly recommend you to go look at the cows. Again this year we are awfully proud of the bulls we bring you. Not only have we grown our numbers but quality has never been this deep. Whether you are looking for Simmental, Angus, True Half-bloods or ¾ bloods in cow bull or heifer bull fashion we have lots to choose from! We also have new sire groups that can only be sourced at Wheatland. It’s certainly an innovating and exciting time to be in the cow business and we would be more than happy to talk to you about the bulls and select your next herd bull (s) Yes, I’m sure you’ve heard someone say a “Wheatland Bull is too expensive” I would sure argue that because we sell a lot of awfully good bulls from $4500-$8500 making them affordable for everyone. It’s no secret we are fortunate enough to sell some higher priced bulls to purebred breeders but that’s our job as a seed stock producer. Now that’s not saying all our bulls go to purebred breeders the bulk of our customers are commercial folks that run 200 plus cows.
