Welcome to our 11th annual bull sale. Already a year has gone by, a year that will go down in history in the beef cattle industry with prices never seen before and the future as promising as ever. Customers, friends and everyone who has taken the time to show interest in our program THANK-YOU! WITHOUT YOU THERE IS NO US! It has been an exciting and quite eventful year for us, with our decision to move the sale home, that may be an understatement as I never thought we could have gotten ourselves so busy. It has been a learning experience and we even found out we have a few carpentry skills! 2014 marked a highlight for Cody-Ray as he graduated from High School and Riley finished his second year at HCC in Kansas. Cody had the great opportunity to work alongside Mark and Jade-Anne Kelley, this past fall, what a learning experience, and he loved every minute of it. He was able to see some new country and of course was in his element, working on show cattle. Riley and the HCC Judging Team, have been doing awesome, with their latest accomplishment was being named National Champions at Fort Worth, he is doing what he loves! We find it quite rewarding to step back and give both of the boys more responsibility within our program. Cody was in charge of the feeding, clipping and the day to day duties in the bull pen, while we were kept busy doing the daily tasks and get a sale facility prepared. Our direction has never changed, raising cattle that are functional and convenient, not extreme in any way. Cows that eat hay and only hay not chopped or processed in any fancy feed wagon. They are big middled and have the ability to consume and do what they are supposed to do, calve, rebreed, and raise a big calf without a creep feeder. Cows, that when analyzed are moderate framed, deep bodied, good uddered and easy to look at.The bulls are developed in a large grass paddock, where exercise is a big part of their day, eating hay at a bale feeder and hand fed grain. Bulls, that we are proud to have our prefix in front of, they are moderate framed, big bodied bulls so right for the commercial cattlemen. The profitable kind donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t need to be a frame score bigger but they do NEED to sound structured, moderate framed with a lot of body dimension, the kind that have the ability to convert while still being easy to look at. They are sired and mothered by our genetics or bulls that we feel compliment what we are striving to achieve. This will give you predictability and consistency like none other. As you go through show reports and sale catalogs, it is very humbling seeing the influence our genetics have had within this great breed of cattle! Solid black son of Nitro 64X. We used Nitro as a calving ease bull and were very happy. The calves come small and had good growth numbers there after. The strength in Nitro really becomes apparent when you see the udders he is putting on his daughters. Nitro sold in our 2011 sale and is working in the good herd of Jordan and Amber Mantei of Diamond M. 428B is a real long bodied, smooth made bull that has great performance. He is mothered by Wheatland Lady 737T, who also is the mother of Wheatland Stout, the two time Agribition Champion. This bull combines calving ease, maternal strength and some extra body length into a very desirable package.

The Wheatland Exclusive 215Z calves are a strong and consistent group that are showing a lot of early natural thickness. They all have a real presence to them that make them a standout. We also used the Wheatland Terminator 202Z bull this year as well. The calves are coming easy and have lots of growth to them. The genetics have really worked and have clicked with our cows and compliment our herd. We are really looking forward to seeing how they grow and going down the show road with them. They are going to make some great good replacement females and herdsire prospects for us. We would definitely use them again!

A super stout made Octane son, that is wide topped, heavy muscled, huge hipped and has that awesome straight popping hair. His dam has done a wonderful job for us, she is a cool made Macho female, that is really big ribbed, moderate in frame, and is beautiful fronted-- one we can count on to raise us a good one each and every year. This bull will add some extra muscle, width and shape to his calves, leaving them hairy with a real neat look about them.

In 2013 we bought our first Wheatland Bull, a GWS/SCF Rendition X 921W son (Wheatland Bull 277Z). This bull came delivered to the farm. Stepping off the trailer with a quiet temperament, which is very important to us as our young kids work alongside us everyday. We could not be more pleased with what he has added to our calf crop. His calves came out unassisted and started putting on the pounds from there! His steers are stout and his heifers are the right kind of fancy! He came in after the breeding season in the same condition he went out in, and is maintaining that through the winter. Vern and Denise and the boys are excellent to deal with, from long phone conversations answering questions and sharing advice to checking in throughout the year to see how itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s going. Looking forward to doing more business with this family in the future.

BL48 is a solid red power bull out of Mr. Bojangles who has been doing a great job at Beshears Simmentals. This bull really has a lot to offer. He is big down his top, big middle, and really square and powerful when you look at him from behind. He sets down on a very big foot and leg. His dam NL48 has done a great job for us over the years. She is no miss cow no matter what you breed her to. She has daughters and granddaughters that have topped sales and won shows in the states. Bojangles daughters and sons have been very popular in commercial programs all over because of their ability to produce easy fleshing, good uddered cattle, and the amount of capacity the bull can add to his progeny. Not to mention great dispositions. If your looking for a red bull to add power and pedigree to your program then take a hard look at BL48.

A super cool made bull, that is extremely eye appealing. This calf in our opinion is complete, needs to be seen! We think this young herdsire has quite a future, heâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s not only is easy on the eyes, he is stout made. This intriguing individual is big topped and hipped, when you get behind him he is square made. He has a ton of capacity and belly shape to him, you have to appreciate the upper and lower third that this bull has. We really admire this calf in terms of his bone and structure, really good footed and sound. His dam was the Grand Champion Heartland Female in 2009, she has done a great job and is one of those cornerstone females. The youngest bull in the offering, but he sure doesn’t lack performance. This bull has become a pen favourite, he is a moderate, deep bodied, wide made and bases and is hairy. Here is a bull that has tremdous depth of body. He is long and smooth in his make up, while still carrying a lot of meat and muscle. He is wide topped and square made, he has a great hip in him. You have to really like how strong this bull is in his lines and how much natural capacity he has, a great trait to pass into his offspring. Two full sisters were sold this fall into the well known herd of Brooking Angus and Koyle Farms. A 3/4 sib was exhibited at Agribition this past fall and was Reserve Grand Champion Heifer Calf selling to the great people of Mainstream Angus and a 3/4 bull calf sibling also was exhibited at Agribition and sold to Hollinger Land and Cattle. The dam of this bull also has two more sons (maternal sibs) working in the very productive programs at Anderson Land and Cattle and Triple L Angus and another maternal female selling to Harvest Angus in B.C. A Lutton son, that is cool necked, big middled and very correct in his skeletal design. This bull has that extra shape to him and has a ton of capacity. You have to appreciate how smooth made he is and how his shoulder ties into his fore rib. 106B is wide based and tracks very freely. With all this being said we feel that this completely made bull would be capable of working in a heifer pen. you want to turn him in with cows or heifers look him up sale day.
