elcome to the 2023 edition of the Queens Of The Heartland Female Sale.

Once again we feel very privileged to share this group of heifers with our customers, as well as the progressive breeders who are bringing some of their very best cattle for you to view on sale day.

Every year the comment gets made that this is our best set yet, and that rings true again this year. We are extremely proud of the group we have assembled, these heifers are selected right off the top of our replacement pen.

As you flip through the simmental offering you will notice a trend, all but three, are either sired by Monument or ai’ed to him. We feel this shows our respect in the job Monument has done for us. He combines calving ease with superior growth and thickness. His first crop of bulls were very well received in our 2023 bull sale and we are highly anticipating his first daughters to calve in January.

In the fall of 2018 we purchased a herd of Angus cows from Brent and Dale Stewart of Stewart Cattle Co. and for the last 5 years we have sold angus bulls in our yearly bull sale but never before have we sold a female with the JLN tattoo. We have grown the angus cow base to a number where we are comfortable with letting a few go. Being the first angus we have offered we knew we had to step out in a big way. After much discussion we have decided to offer choice on an exciting pair of heifer calves and a pair of breds, and are following up the choice lots with a couple of exceptional bred heifers.

Another new addition to the sale this year is couple of semen packs off the National Grand Champion Simmental Bull Wheatland Dimensional 1147J. The heifers were preg-checked at the beginning of August, which allowed our vet to give us an accurate decision on being safe to AI date or bull. The heifers are all on a full vaccination program and will have received their first shot of ScourGuard before the sale.

We feel we have cattle here for every budget, so please join us in McAuley on December 3rd, for some hospitality and have a look at our offering.

The depth and uniformity of this lineup which are mostly homo polled are enhanced with early A.I. services… mated to sires that will give you added value in their first calf. Over the past several years, the selections of sires have been very prudent and successful… at JP the Monument daughters are awesome and the other females carry the service of Monument. The folks from Scissors Creek had a very successful show at Ag-Ex and consistently offer their best. Ag-Lands offer several powerful red heifers, and the Rocky Meadows females are as uniform as raindrops. The commercial females reflect the purebreds… this is a sale one must attend if they are serious about breeding great stock with earning power.

Another Monument daughter that has been a favorite since the day she was born. If you are looking for a powerful, broody cow that has an excellent disposition, she’s your girl. 9H was near the very top of our replacement pen as a heifer and unfortunately we lost her to a freak accident shortly after calving. When the opportunity to purchase the pick of the prestigious Blair’s.

Ag herd presented itself in Falls View 2019, we knew we had to take a run at it. A beautiful Napolean daughter caught and held our eyes and attention in the pens of Lanigan. Barbara 621E went directly into our donor pen, and with progeny like these, you’ll see why we haven’t looked back.

These full sisters by the Reserve National Champion Angus Bull are the kind we strive to produce; phenotypically attractive and well balanced, with an extra bunch of performance. The mating to Gable is probably as appealing as any bull known in the Angus world. The progeny here will come easy and take off.

his our second year bringing a group of females to this sale and we are very excited on what we have to offer once again. We want to thank the JP crew as long as the other great consignors for allowing us to be a part of this great sale. We have brought 4 Tesla daughters and a grandaughter of the great 5015C bull who has caused so much excitement since seeing the impressive set of daughters that came out of the Rplus dispersal.

These heifers were all preg tested mid July safe to there early service dates so can expect late January/ Early february calves out of each of them that should fit into most purebred breeding programs. They are either carrying service to our percentage calving ease bull Desert Storm 95J who we bought as a high seller out of Jp’s Bull sale a couple springs ago and he calved very well last year, leaving a really strong crop of calves. Also we have one heifer Aied to the Hannibal bull that has bred with great success. These heifers are on a full health program and will have had there first scour guard shot prior to sale day. We are offering three bred heifers from the top of our purebred pen, as well as two pens of commercial bred heifers that would work well in any herd. We strongly feel that moderate framed, easy doing females are the only kind to have and these heifers exemplify that!

TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS...

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

BIDDING...

Each animal will sell to the highest bidder...no bybidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute.

If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS...

All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION...

Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

PEDIGREE ESTIMATES

Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations.

(2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller.
