Welcome to Ward’s Red Angus 12th Annual Bull Sale, March 7, 2020 at the farm, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As we enter a new decade, Clarke has made some changes…the sale has moved to the farm, as he constructed a new barn and will be via video. The bulls will be penned just outside the sale barn for easy access and evaluation in their natural environment. The Wards have had a busy 2019…hosting the Saskatchewan Angus Summer Tour, building a barn, visiting customers or customers visiting them, finding and putting up feed and having a display in the commercial barn at Agribition – we think Clarke needs a social convener! For the many of you that have been repeat customers, you know that the Ward program features calving ease. 2020 continues the same mandate in an exciting group of bulls, both red and black; they are rugged with tons of hair and shape. The fall bulls are always a feature, as they can cover more cows, bigger cows and even gain weight in the later summer months, while giving you more uniformity in the calf crop. But the Wards have a problem…longevity…their bulls last too long; Clarke complains about it all the time. (Some things never change). Hitch continues to turn heads with his natural thickness and muscle pattern! We had him displayed at the Saskatchewan Angus Summer Tour (after he had bred females through out the summer) and he was our display bull at Agribition this year (then he went home to breed fall cows)! We were very disappointed when we lost Red TR Rollin Along 79B. He was a guaranteed calving ease specialist, combined with explosive growth and shape in his calf crop! Last Roll 96E was a late April born bull out of our Blackbird 48X cow line, so we decided to keep him to replace his sire! He has not disappointed! These are the last bulls off of Cassanova we will have on offer. We really made this guy work over the years and he never missed a beat! We owned him with Double V Angus, he bred in both herds in the spring, then we would bring him back to breed the black fall cows! He is so well put together structurally, with the best feet we have seen, he handles it like a walk in the park! CALVING EASE RATINGS: We evaluate each bull for calving ease determined by bone size, birth weight and maternal history. Scoring as follows: *** 3 Stars - Recommended for use on moderate framed first calf heifers. Should produce minimal or no calving trouble. ** 2 Stars - Recommended for use on large framed first calf heifers. Should produce minimal or no calving trouble. * 1 Star - Recommended for use on cows. Should produce minimal or no calving trouble.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS... TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Each animal sells to the highest bigger and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
GUARANTEE: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.
BREEDING GUARANTEE: We guarantee to provide a sound breeding bull capable of passing a semen test at 14 months of age. Any bull failing to be a satisfactory breeder will be replaced with a bull of equal value and quality, or a credit given towards purchase of another bull. All consigners fully stand behind their bulls!
LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co.(2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in extreme cases, be taken must be between buyer and seller.
