Glory 154Y is the top son we’ve ever had out of 409. We used him for 4 years in our commercial herd and then he replaced his father in our Pure Bred program. He’s a powerhouse bull with a great stance & disposition.

What is an EPD?

Expected Progeny Differences (EPD) are expressions of the relative genetic merit of beef cattle for various traits.

BW: Actual birth weight Adj.205: Weaning weight adjusted to 205 days Adj.365: Yearling weight adjusted to 365 days Index: An in-herd evaluation for specific traits where the group average of 100 animals are ranked accordingly.

CE: Average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first calf heifer.

WW: Is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

YW: Is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

MILK: Is an indicator of milking ability in daughters.

It represents the differences in weaning weights of calves due to the amount of milk produced by their mothers.
