What a winning combination ... young leading breeders, the latest genetically sired bulls and the leading combination of breeds suited for top feeder calf markets! In few sales, can one select bulls for the heifer pasture suitable for calving ease and peace of mind and/or select a power bull that will add pounds of calf at weaning... load them in a trailer and have your bull shopping completed in one afternoon. Since the beginning of “Best of the Breeds”, the Parkland area of Saskatchewan has had the luxury and convenience of selecting top quality bulls in their local area from leading breeders. The breeders, who supply these bulls, are leaders in their respective breeds and are competitive on a national level. They use A.I. to infuse the newest genetics into their programs; as a result, you their customers, can benefit without traveling large distances or incurring added expense. The consignors are very reputable, stand behind the product they offer, but most importantly, want you to get your pastures serviced. If you have a problem, they are only a phone call away. The future bodes well for the beef cattle sector and agriculture in general. With the North American cow inventories at lowest levels since the early 50’s, we will gradually move to a beef shortage for world consumption. Since our industry is not like the poultry and hog industries, restocking will take several years ... possibly more than this decade. Demand for the maternal side of the beef industry will find a greater importance; therefore, when selecting your bulls do not overlook maternal traits. I call the “Best of the Breeds Bull Sale” an event. The ladies host one of the great noon luncheons (complimentary, along with refreshments to wash it down.) If time permits, come early and go through a powerful group of bulls. All weight and scrotal measurements will be available sale morning as the bulls are semen checked and vet inspected ... ready for your pasture. If you require a preview of any of the bulls, they are available for viewing at anytime prior the sale at their home farms. All the bulls will be at the sale barn on Saturday prior the sale for viewing. Plan to be with us at Parkland Livestock or the annual “Best of the Breeds” event. For those who are looking for added value and a marketing edge, this sale is definitely worth the trip. If we, at T Bar C, may be of assistance prior to or sale day, feel free to give Ted or myself a call.

Twin Heritage Farms Red Angus
Welcome to the 9th Annual “Best of the Breeds” bull sale. Thank you to all previous buyers and bidders for your interest in our program.
We have put together a strong set of bulls for this year’s sale. In selecting the bulls, we focused on the maternal calving ease as well as the performance of the bull. The Semi Auto calves possess style and power, as you will see with the lead off two year old that has all the makings of a top notch herdsire along with several powerful long sided yearlings. We also have several sons of the high selling Red Howe Hustle 13X; good footed, strong topped and big testicles are consistent features of his sons. The Magnum Allan & Ann - 306-849-4638 sons are wide based, thick, and easy going. Whether you are looking for a heifer bull, cow bull, or both, we have a sound selection to choose from. Please bid with confidence as all the bulls have been developed with longevity in mind and are fully guaranteed. We have catalogued the bulls by herdsire groupings. Feel free to stop by the farm and check out any of the bulls on offer or you can check us out online at www. twinheritage.com

We had strongly considered using Bentley, but in the end decided to have him kick off our sale as he is the only 2 year old in the offering and quite possibly one of the best we have offered for sale. You will drive long and far to find a 2 year old of this calibre; strong topped, deep bodied, good quartered, and out of one of the top cows in our herd. A full brother sold to Paul and Dee Valstar in the 2010 sale and they are very pleased with how he has turned out. Herd bull here folks!

If there is one thing these Semi Auto calves have in common it’s their length, smooth shoulders, and good quarter. We bred Semi Auto to all of the Robson daughters as this cross works well for us. Huskie has some power and a moderate birth weight; should be good for larger heifers or cows.

Steel is another powerful son of Semi Auto. He is long sided with a good quarter and has the style and presence of a herd bull. Steel comes from a strong cow family tracing back to the 271R cow; she is the dam of Glacier 47Z. With his 80 lb. birth weight and smooth shoulders, he should work well on heifers and cows.
