The objective of the Top Cut is to supply the cow/calf sector with the best known replacement females possible. This year we are bigger and stronger then ever with a group we are very proud of. The emphasis we select on is based from a starting point of over 600 heifers. Quality temperament, structure, feet and colour pattern are all heavily accounted for. With this being our 12th year and in excess of 2000 females sold in the past, we feel we have the fundamentals covered and all the extras included in this years offering. Agricultural and in particularly the cattle business is our sole income and we live and breathe this industry every second of the day. The selection of bulls that we breed these females are carefully selected and come with the calving ease built in. We want your experience at the Top Cut to be a positive one and into the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact us ahead of time on any info you’d like to know on how we do things around here. We’ve supplied as much info as we can and watch for videos of the heifers on dlms and social media the week of the sale.

If you would like to view the offering, we are located at 1128 Bruce Rd 40 - Dobbinton, Ontario. The heifers will be moved to Maple Hill early in the week of the sale.

We all know everyone schedules are busy and it’s hard to jam in everything you’d like to do. At the Top Cut we make it as easy as possible to be comfortable in making your next replacement purchase.
1 - COME TO THE SALE
We would love if you could join us in person at Maple Hill for the sale. Cattle will be penned in their lots by 10:30am. Please come early to view the offering.
2 - LEAVE AN ORDER
No one knows the cattle better between ourselves and Ben Wright. Please feel free to call anyone of the numbers listed and talk through what will meet your demands and needs at a level that works for you. Note this option is used frequently with great customer satisfaction.
3 - BID ONLINE

Big stout soft sided girls with all the potential you could ever ask for in the replacement female sector. Bred to calving ease Red Angus bulls from U2Q, Wibar & LLB specifically designed to come small at birth and still maintain heavy weaning weights come fall .
CALVING PERIODS
During the spring months we sorted and specifically held back heifers for certain calving intervals. The first group will calve mid January to February. Another sorted group to calve in March and another for April and May. We’ve also had strict culling process on tempermant and overall look. We think you’ll really like the pens in which these girls will sell in.
Annually the Top Cut sale is known for its reputation on Blk & BWF Heifers as good as you’ll see. No different this year and hand picked with a fine tooth comb, this pen has the goods. Bred to the BLK Angus bulls from our own purebred cowherd that has been noted with high success at calving time and weaning weights come fall. Docile and burly, we take pride in having these look like this. Calving periods of Jan-Feb, March along with heifer specifically held back to calve April and May.

THE TOP CUT PURPOSE... 12 years of sales we’ve learnt and listened to what the demands are in this new cattle era. We take pride in our product and feel with the selection of Western heifers and home raised heifers would rival any program out there in quality. But our success is based on the production of these females annually.
