2015 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Tools of the Trade Bull Sale! Another feat accomplished for the Willms family, a highly successful seedstock Red and Black Angus seedstock operation. In our search for some new genetics we came across a unique pedigreed bull named Off Topic. He is sired by a descendent of the Legendary black bull EXT who happened to be a Agribition and Denver Champion and out of a beautiful black cow stemming back to the likes of Northern Improvement, TC Stockman 365, and DMM Flex 24E. These are just some of the outcross black sires in his pedigree. The biggest selling feature for us was the cow family he was out of. The maternal grand dam, Red Jewel Miss Pathy 62A was one of the most picture perfect cows we had ever seen and when we got the opportunity to own a grandson we couldn’t resist. Off Topic’s first daughter to sell was the $7000 high selling red heifer calf at the 2014 Touch of Class Sale, selling to Fraser Red Angus, MB.

Wilbar Ruby 592B is bred with longevity in mind. Her grand dam 700M is 14 years old and still in the herd, she has had our second high selling bull twice in the last 5 years and is one of our embryo donor cows. 592B’s great grand dam is also still in the herd and has a bull in the sale (543B). Wilbar Ruby 313K was one of the ﬁrst females to calve this spring. She is 16 years old and still has one of the nicest udders in the herd.
