TO OUR 14TH ANNUAL BULL SALE
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our customers for your support and trust in our program over the past 13 years. Each year we strive to improve the overall quality of our offering and this year we feel is no exception. We truly pride ourselves in using current proven sires that offer soundness, growth and strong maternal traits. Whether you are looking for extra performance, moderation or calving ease, we are confident you will find what you need in this year’s selection.
New sires for this year include some of the breeds most popular and proven sires. We are very excited about a couple bulls that lead off our sale book sired SAV Courage 3003, as well a maternal brother by SAV Magnum 1335. They are both ET calves off HLC Erica 561G, who has been designated ELITE by the Canadian Angus Association. As you page through the offering you will also find sale highlights by Montana Judgment 1038, Golden Oak 1054 Preacher 333L, Brooking Emerald 9179 and Schiefelbein Gable 311 as well as many highlights by or walking bulls Showman, Ignite and Cracker Jack.
Our sale partners Nu-Horizon Angus have also put together an outstanding set of Red bulls to be part of the sale. Kieran, Deb and Kodie are always a pleasure to work with and we look forward to having them part of sale again this year. The Red Bulls will be available for viewing at the Doetzel farm until a few days prior to sale when they will be moved to our sale facility near Neudorf.
We are excited to work with you and look forward to discussing which bull would best to suit the needs of your program. Please join us March 17th at the farm. Coffee will be on and lunch will be served. We are pleased to be working with the crew at T Bar C as always, DLMS will be streaming the sale live online as well. T Bar C has been with us since the beginning and are very familiar with our program and this year’s offerings. Big League herd bull candidate! 548N is the result of a shared flush done with Schaff Angus Valley where just a few weeks ago, a full brother sold for $29,000, and a maternal brother by Rise and Shine commanded $40,000. A full sister, HLC Erica 549N, highlighted the CWA All Star Sale in November, where she sold for $31,000 to Juanito Wiebe of Mexico. HLC Erica 561G, now designated Elite by the Canadian Angus Association, continues to prove herself time and time again. 561G’s production record speaks for itself, she has yet again given us an outstanding set of progeny on the ground this spring. 548N is a bull with an exceptional phenotype. He Is up-headed, attractive in his design, with tons of bone and also has a great foot under him. He will be one of only a few sons by SAV Courage to sell North of the border this year, so take advantage of the opportunity and get in early!

A performance leader! 663N is a bull we truly admire for his muscle mass and capacity. Just a March baby, he will lead the charge in many performance categories, being one of the heaviest bulls in the entire offering. He is stout made and bold in his design, yet attractive with a great hind leg and hip shape.

A pair of full brothers by Sitz Barricade that will add performance volume and eye appeal without sacrificing any maternal qualities that The Erica cow line brings to the table. A full sister that’s now in production has a gorgeous udder and is doing a whale of a job on her SAV Magnify Bull calf. Watch for him to be a feature calving ease candidate in 2027.

One of my favourites, 591N combines two of my absolute favourite cows on the ranch. Obviously Erica 561G, his paternal granddam, dam of 2024 Agribition Champion Angus Bull Elevation 100K. and his dam, Merit Bell Gal 9046G - an absolutely gorgeous female who produced the $18,000 high selling bred heifer in our December sale as well as numerous other sale highlights over the years. We often talk about cattle based on their sires as a bull typically has more progeny in a season to compare than an individual female, but when it comes to 591N, the maternal side of his pedigree is
excites me. Buy this bull and keep every daughter! The only
An attractive deep sided, big ribbed individual out of a beautiful Charlo daughter selected from the great people at LLB Angus. His dam 309G is a big volume female with tons of thickness and an exceptional udder.

An attractive made individual with
thickness and length of body. The maternal cow
behind this fella will make him a big asset to your bull battery. A full sister sold in the CWA All Star Sale for $23,000 to Tullamore Angus in Ontario.
A bull with tons of muscle and natural fleshing ability, he’s been a favourite all summer. His dam is a female we own in partnership with Nu-Horizon, they sold a full brother last year that created a lot of interest and brought north of $10,000.

Bold in his build, powerful in his
I love the female behind this one! she’d be one of my favourite two-year-olds. Awesome udder, excellent feet, big bodied and super attractive. 565N will be a great calving ease option to put on your heifers. He’s long bodied and smooth fronted, yet carries plenty of natural muscle and thickness. RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

17 HLC CRACKER JACK 596N
Another great Cracker Jack sired bull that is nice headed, smooth shoulder has plenty of muscle shape and depth of rib.

18 HLC CRACKER JACK 605N
A calving ease bull with plenty of thickness and eye appeal. His moderate made two-year-old dam comes from one of the foundation cow families at HLC - the Miss Marions. Longevity and fertility run deep in this cow family.
RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

19 HLC REVIVAL 567N
Out of AI calving ease sire Woodhill Revival and a full sister to the $63,000 Private Stock. This fella’s ready to be put to work.
RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

Bold, powerful and robust in his design, here’s a bull that will most definitely find a lot of admirers on sale day. His dam has produced 2 past bull sale highlights, both bulls walking in exceptional commercial cow herds. Her first son walks the pastures for Bryan Elaschuk at Wroxton, and her second son by Private Stock was selected by Gary Krupski at Lemberg.

21 HLC PREACHER 637N
An exciting herd sire prospect by “Preacher” that you’ll want to make sure to find on sale day. A maternal brother by Six Mile Showman 71K was a calving ease feature in last year’s sale who was selected by Franken farms. The dam to this bull is one of my favourites, she is moderate, tanky, has an excellent udder and awesome feet. Mat. Sib - HLC Bloodline

1054J
Moderate, stout, and sound. This bull’s dam has never missed - she raised numerous sale features, most notably the lead off Lot 1 heifer in our female sale 2 years ago - HLC Santella 249L, who was purchased by Blairs.Ag. This bull’s dam is bred with longevity in mind.

An awesome son of breed legend, S A V Renovation 6822. This bull would be an excellent calving ease option that offers tons of growth, eye-appeal and soundness. He’s built smooth, long bodied, deep quartered, sleek shouldered and nice headed. He will most definitely be one put on your short list. RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

BROOKING EMERALD 9179
Big time herd bull candidate and sale feature. A bull that offers plenty of size and performance and has excellent muscle shape, softness of rib and eye appeal. His beautiful dam has an exceptional udder and is big bodied and angular. For those who follow the Angus world, you’ll know the impact that Emerald has made in a short time. He breeds true Angus character, exceptional depth of body, thickness and unmatched eye appeal.

a 3/4 brother to last year’s sale feature, HLC Resolve 414M, who was selected by Pibroch Colony for $15,000. We think a lot of the dam to these two rascals. She’s moderate, tanky, and attractive. Even more importantly, you couldn’t put a better udder under one if you tried. This bull offers a ton of maternal value in a well balanced package.

27 HLC EMERALD 566N
A cowmaker by Emerald with center body mass, powerful construction and eye appeal. His super productive dam by Mob Boss has plenty of size and length. The Blacklass cow family has been one of our best. A maternal sister sold to River Valley Angus in our 2024 Female focus for $17,250.

28 HLC EMERALD 630N
If some added size is what you are in need of, 630N will be the bull for you. He is powerfully constructed, big boned, long bodied, with plenty of muscle shape and dimension. His beautiful dam by Natural Law has been a no-miss female. A maternal brother by Rainfall was purchased by Prime Time Cattle Co. in last year’s sale.

An exciting calving ease option! Calving ease and performance. Here is a bull that will rank among the top heifer bull candidates in the offering. His productive dam has a great udder and is a top producing female. He’s a bull with plenty of muscle, volume and dimension.

559N alongside his dam caught the attention of many astute cattlemen at the Parkland Angus Tour we had the pleasure of hosting at the end of July. 559N is a bull that carries himself proud with a ton of herd bull character. He is sound in his build and moves free as a cat. He’s big nutted, long bodied and plenty stout. A maternal brother was our high selling black bull in 2024 to Hanger Red Angus in Kansas. I feel this bull is every bit as good as his older brother and has a ton of breeding potential. A maternal sister is now in production and I couldn’t be more pleased with her udder quality and mothering ability. He’s heifer safe and ready to go to work!!
RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

A CALVING EASE FEATURE BY GABLE WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES!
He’s stout made, big topped, smooth fronted and awesome headed. Huge number spread, -1.4 BW to 123 YW , he’s got the ability to calve heifers as well as produce top performing calves that won’t sacrifice performance. He’s been a pen favourite of many that have toured. We are very excited for this one’s future!

A feature Showman out of arguably the best female on the ranch. 612 is long and smooth yet masculine and stout. He will be a front runner among the Calving ease options on sale day!

HEIFERS

Here is a bull with as much muscle shape and expression as any bull in the sale. He is big topped, stout, and super attractive. I see a lot of future in this calf and we sure like his sire, Six Mile Mr Showman 71K. The Showman bull has worked great on heifers for us, and we look forward to his calves again this year. RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS
An end of March born bull that you’ll want to analyze on sale day. He is big hipped, square topped, long spined and smooth fronted. We love his dam - she is feminine made, heavy milking and been a very consistent female.
RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

Here is a bull with plenty of mass and substance. He is big ribbed and stout hipped. A bull that would work on a larger set of heifers.
A powerfully constructed bull with a ton of presence. He is super hairy, wide based and has plenty of thickness and overall mass. Showman has got a great set of feet, and I expect his sons to be great in that department as well.

Mat. Grandsire S A V Bloodline 9578

An outstanding calving ease bull you don’t want to miss out on. A maternally driven heifer bull that has plenty of body, masculinity and stoutness from front to back. His grand dam was an outstanding female putting multiple bulls through this sale. RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

Moderate
Showman 71K has proven himself to be a consistent calving ease, heifer safe bull. He also offers plenty of growth and size, which I value an awful lot in a heifer bull. It’s important that they have enough growth and size to be useful breeding pieces for the future. I believe 665N fits this mold perfectly. If you study pedigrees you’ll see he is out of a Coalition-sired female. Some of the most popular and proven genetics being widely used across the Angus industry are Coalition-sired or are very closely related. The homework is done on this one for you!
RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

When we stepped out and acquired Ignite as a calf at Agribition, we saw a ton of potential in him. The maternal side of his pedigree needs no introduction - 74A is quite possibly the most popular female in North America. We have managed to utilize 74A widely through sons as well as daughters that we have in our herd. They are exceptional cattle we have focused on building around. The outcross top side of Ignite’s pedigree was also very intriguing. South America has since proven himself and has been used by some of the most reputable operations across North America. They are real-world cattle with substance, eye appeal and structural correctness. Grab hold of these genetics, you won’t be disappointed.

The first calf crop to sell by Altitude is not huge in numbers due to an unfortunate injury early into breeding season. Altitude is a S A V Anthem out of a full sister to breed legend, S A V Resource 1441. The proven predictably of his pedigree is what drew us to him and he will be a valuable breeding piece for us for quite some time.
A sleep-easy heifer bull in a more moderate package. He is out of a productive young female who’s first daughter has been retained in-herd. The udder quality of this cow family is second to none! RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS.

652N came to us as an in-dam purchase that Roger selected from KT Ranches in BC. He is a Rainfall grandson, and as many of us know, Rainfall was and continues to be a go-to calving ease, heifer safe option. This bull will be the sleep easy kind! RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

A more moderate calving ease option out of a really nice female that consistently produces the right type and kind. This bull is rugged built with length of body and a tidy head and shoulder. RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS
A maternal brother to last year’s sale feature and second high selling bull, the $23,000 HLC CSI Resilient 444M. 699N is built very similar in a youthful athletic package. Their dam 75K has a near perfect udder and certainly knows how to raise em! RECOMMENDED FOR HEIFERS

One of the youngest bull on offer in this year’s sale. A calf I see a ton of future and potential in. He comes from the outstanding Blackbird cow family. his granddam 105A is a donor in the great Miller Wilson program. A maternal brother by Coleman Triumph was selected by Graco Angus a few years back and was used with a ton of success.
The cowmaker kind, a bull that could be used in either pasture. His dam has never missed, always producing top quality no matter what we breed her to.

We would like to thank the Hollingers for including us in their bull sale for our 7th year. We have a great set of bulls with some new genetics to offer. Come by the farm and take a look before the sale. You will not be disappointed.
Sincerely,
Kieran, Deb & Kodie
