SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3
Angus Show 8:00 AM
All roads point to downtown Toronto as soon as the calendar hits November. I will never forget the goosebumps I got as a kid as we came off Lakeshore Boulevard to tie the cattle out under the Gardner Expressway, looking up, and seeing the CN Tower lit up and right there. That same feeling isn’t one that just goes away, and still applies to most as the history and life changing atmosphere of the Royal Winter Fair continues to alight fire and passion across generations of purebred cattle breeders. If you have never been to the Royal, book your ticket now. The electricity in the air, the people, and the remarkable ring (that dare I say is the best in the country) and the quality of cattle will have you coming back year after year.
We at T Bar are proud to host the annual Angus sale on Saturday night. The truth of the matter is, if you don’t come early and stake out your spot, you might not see the sale. It’s truly one of the elite sales of the fall in terms of genetics on offer, and the time and place. I encourage you to study this book hard, and plan to participate in the most fun and upbeat atmosphere in Eastern Canada.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us at T Bar C regarding any questions about the offering. -BEN WRIGHT

PICK OF THE 2024 OR 2025 HARPREY FARMS NATURAL BORN HEIFER OR BULL CALVES
It is with great excitement that for the first time ever we are offering the opportunity to come in and pick any natural born male or female calf. The year 2024 marked the actual calendar year of 50 years in the Canadian Angus Registry and we feel no better way to celebrate the occasion than this offering right here. The 2024 calf crop is one that we are very proud of with sire groups consisting of HF Alcatraz, Ellingson Big River, LVVF Tanker, SBF Assets, and Harprey Jameson. 2025 sires will feature the same sires with the bonus of the highly anticipated $140,000 evaluated Peakdot Gatsby 135L inaugural calf crop. Over the years we have prided ourselves in being strict of foot, udder, performance and maternal quality of the cowherd. The pictures on these pages are of some of the dams we pictured this summer and of previous offerings and high sellers. We look forward to seeing you in Toronto and touring you for your selection.

What more could be said about the remarkable Erica 74A. Still to this day she walks around likes she’s a 3-year-old with an accomplishment list longer than any other producing female noted from Canada. Her popularity continues to grow obviously and here are just a few of the reasons why. Erica 11J (daughter) was Champion Angus Female at CWA ‘23 and 10 days later sold for $150,000 1/2 interest to ZWT. At that same show she also was responsible for the $118,000 Alpine bull who topped the CWA All Star sale. Amongst others this was just a taste of what Erica 74A has been doing. Recently one IVF cycle was sold for $40,000 US and we are proud to offer these embryos in the Elite Sale. We have searched long a hard on what sires to mate Erica to and we feel the 3 listed bulls are that and more. For the first time ever in Canada you can obtain genetics from the $360,000 Bedrock bull who has all the bells and whistles. Also, the $185,000 Hi Country is available and been said to be the most talked about bull in Canada in some time. And the popular Prolific who is also the sire of Bedrock whose progeny are surfacing as the breeds best. In short use Erica in your program. She’s not only a breed changer, but a program enhancer.

Either one of these two could have a program built around them. This summer we had the privilege of Earley’s displaying 58Y - 2K granddam - on our farm for the Canadian Angus Convention. If 2K and 210M are only ever half as good as 58Y, they will be great. 2K brings two hard to find traits to the table; depth of heel and a near perfect triangle between hips, pins and thurls. While 210M brings an elegant front end, length of body, and lots of red meat to compliment her dam. AI bred to DUFF Real Deal 19115 on March 20 and exposed to Walkerbrae Real Deal 903K. Pregnancy favourable to AI breeding. CONSIGNED BY WALKERBRAE FARMS.
DSJL Blackbird 1335 101M is a super long sided, sweet fronted female with the running gear that is built to last. 101M is out of a first calf Musgrave Colossal daughter that did an awesome job with a flawless udder. Blackbird 101M’s dam and granddam were an extremely competitive pair back a couple years ago highlighted by being the high selling lot in the 2022 Royal Angus sale to Parkview Farms and being named the Ontario show female of the year shortly after that. Her sire is a past high seller at the Schaff Angus Valley bull sale and a popular calving ease sire at ST Genetics. Blackbird 101M is backed by generations of proven Angus heritage on the top and bottom of her pedigree.

Ponderosa, the bull that is on the radar of the Angus World and already has begun to write his own chapter in Angus History. He started as the popular high selling bull out of the 2023 Schiefelbein Farms Bull Sale where he was regarded as the thickest Angus Bull in existence. He went on to set new records every time his semen sells and the demand and momentum continued on with Ponderosa embryos selling for $3750 per embryo in past sales. Never before has there been a time or a push in History to get back to good functional, deep- bodied, correct cattle. Ponderosa is leading the charge with his mass, performance and fleshing ability while adding style and balance. Peak Dot Bambi 78G is a second generation embryo donor from the highly fertile Bambi cow family. Her dam Peak Dot Bambi 16C is listed as an Elite/Premier dam with the Canadian Angus Association and has an average weaning ratio of 110 on her last six calves. She is the dam of Peak Dot Franchise 389F owned by Perrot Cattle Co. and Canadian Sires.

The Ellingson Roughrider daughters are highly thought after for their productive easy fleshing, deep sided type and ideal udder quality. Bambi 78G along with several of her maternal sisters have been retained in the Peak Dot herd as we continue to build and add to this highly productive maternally driven cow family.
