WEDNESDAY MARCH 18, 2026
AT THE RANCH-DUNDURN,SK 1PM

Welcome the 31st Annual Tools of the Trade Bull Sale. Thank you to our customers, supporters and friends for making each of the past 30 sales a reality. Your trust and loyalty mean more to us than I can capture in this welcome. You have many options when selecting seedstock and we are truly humbled by and grateful for your support. It’s hard to believe another sale season is already here; each year seems to arrive a little quicker than the last. The past year has seen continued optimism and strength in our industry. Based on that market strength and inventory position, the selection of and investment in herdsires is more impactful than ever. For both you, our customer, and ourselves, we feel that selecting balanced trait, performance oriented and maternally backed genetics will put cow-calf producers in the best position to reap rewards of the market going forward. It may sound trite to say this is our strongest offering ever, but we believe it is and it remains our goal to make it true each and every year. We believe it is the most consistent offering across both colours and whether you are shopping in the red pen or the black pen, you will find sound, functional, hairy, gentle and growthy bulls. As in the past, the bulls have been developed on a forage based ration with longevity, fertility, libido and soundness in mind. The bulls, their dams and the commercial heifers are available for viewing any time and we’d love to show them to you. The bulls are parent verified, fertility tested, carcass evaluated and performance tested to provide you the tools you need to make the best selection to suit your needs. Please stop in for a tour ahead of time or join us in person for our 31st sale day. If you are unable to join us on March 18, please register on DLMS or connect with us or any of our sale staff by phone.
Thank you,
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the 2026 Tools of the Trade Bull Sale, hosted by Wilbar Cattle Company. Few programs in Western Canada can match the history, consistency, and forward momentum that the Willms family has built over four generations in the Angus breed. Wilbar has long been a prominent and respected Angus name across the prairies. However, under the leadership of Bryan and Tracey, alongside their children Kylie and Owen, the program has reached new heights and established itself as a true household name in Angus circles across North America. Their commitment to genetic excellence, disciplined selection, and progressive marketing has positioned Wilbar at the forefront of the industry. Over the past decade, Wilbar has been a dominant force in the show ring, capturing numerous major championships and Supreme titles along the way. Their ability to combine phenotype, structural integrity, and real-world performance has set them apart. The marketplace has responded in kind — highlighted this past spring by the sale of a record-setting Red Angus bull through this very event, and further reinforced by the record-setting Red Angus open heifer sold in the Opportunity Knocks Sale last December. While banners and headlines are noteworthy accomplishments, what truly defines Wilbar is their unwavering commitment to the commercial cattleman. As major suppliers to the seedstock industry, they have built influence and impact far beyond their own pastures. Yet one of their greatest pleasures remains supplying high-quality, dependable bulls to their many repeat commercial customers — cattle that go out and work, add pounds, and leave profitable daughters. The 2026 offering is deep and versatile. Whether you are searching for Red or Black Angus genetics, calving ease specialists for the heifer pen, or power bulls to add performance and scale to your calf crop, this year’s lineup presents a host of quality options. Once again, a select and impressive group of open commercial heifers will complement the bull offering, providing added opportunity for progressive cattlemen. We have never witnessed stronger conditions in the cattle industry, and there has never been a better time to invest in quality genetics. Wilbar bulls are built on generations of disciplined breeding and backed by a program committed to standing behind their product. On behalf of everyone involved, we invite you to study the offering, visit with the Willms family, and join us at the 2026 Tools of the Trade Bull Sale. If you are unable to join us or require any assistance prior to sale day, feel free to contact any of the T Bar Team as we would be more than happy to help.

A note about EPDs: Balanced trait selection remains our focus at Wilbar so you won’t find us chasing outliers and EPD trait leaders but we respect the role this tool may play as part of your selection process. While we still believe the analysis of the bull standing in front of you, his mother, siblings, contemporaries and his actual performance data are most important, we recognize the potential usefulness of Angus HD EPDs as part of your herd bull selection.
