Welcome to the Square D Polled Hereford Annual Production Sale, Monday October 19, 2020 at the ranch headquarters, Langbank, Saskatchewan. This sale anchors the “Saskatchewan Sweepsteaks Weekend” … a highlight weekend in the Hereford industry and the source for the freshest genetics available.

The Square D program is based on breeding quality Polled Herefords in a ranch setting. The Duke family has raised Herefords for several generations and have been suppliers of sires for the purebred and commercial industry. The herd is known for its milk and great udders and we cannot overlook their structural soundness and longevity.

Since Jim and Lori do not have a spring bull sale, each fall they offer the top cut of their crop of bull calves and the 2020 lineup is outstanding and deserves your scrutiny... muscled, attractive and out of top cow families. The 2020 heifer calves are fancy, competitive, and will make great prospects for juniors of any age. ED CONROY, was a great friend, partner and a pivotal part of Kootenay Polled Herefords with Murray Gore. Ed’s passions were his family, the farm and the cattle. Being a breeder for over 50 years, first as Norns Creek Farms and then in his 30-year partnership with Murray Gore, as Kootenay Polled Herefords. The partnership won awards at many shows; often taking on very large breeders, to the surprise of everyone Our family are honored to have known Ed and Katrina and their kids. We still talk about our post Bonanza visit, and the fun that they all had at the “Paradise Water Slide” on their back yard mountain, getting to know one another. Ed , as Kootenay Polled Herefords, was partnered in many of our breeding bulls here at Square D. Milestone 44P, Hinge 290A, Beef 15Z, Duramax 8X, Century 957B, Dagger 272G and Jan 373D to name a few.
