The terms of the sale are cash or check payable at par at the completion of the sale. If you purchased an animal as an absentee bidder, please make arrangements to mail a check or wire money within 48 hours of the sale. U.S. Money will be accepted at the current rate of exchange sale day and will be posted prior to the sale. U.S. visitors require picture ID to cross the border. Game Plan

We became interested in the progeny of Red VGW Game 508 after touring the Peiper Red Angus herd in Nebraska where we thought his progeny were some of the best. We purchased a son, Red VGW Game Plan 816 as our pick of the Westphal Bull Sale in Montana in the spring of 2009. Last year we only had a small offering of his sons but still had a couple going into the Purebred herds - EKW Red Angus and Ter-Ron Farms. This year we are very proud of the job he did on siring top end bull calves and super attractive heifer calves. Game Plan is producing an optimum blend of calving ease, performance and carcass merit. His sons are moderate with nice hip shape and have done well on feed. His progeny show incredible vigor at birth with superior calving ease sire. His daughters have exceeded our expectations, with one selling for $12,000 in our 2011 Focus On Females Sale to the Nelson Family, OK. That heifer, Red Six Mile Extra Sweet 411Y won John Nelson a banner at the Denver National Junior show. Another daughter was selected by Christy Collins in the summer and went on to be a class winner at both the Denver Stock Show and Reserve Division Champion Female at Fort Worth 2012.

Red Towaw Indeed 104H Parentage Notice

$48,000 high selling bull is 2010 bull sale Maternal brother to Lot 65 Red Six Mile Ruger 221X

Towaw Cattle Co. and Six Mile Ranch would like to notify all concerned that Sire Parentage on Red Towaw Indeed 104H (WDV 104H) 942651 has recently been corrected. Indeed is sired by Red CC Expansion 5E (CCF 5E) 836778, and this is now reflected in the Canadian Angus Association herdbook. Red CC Expansion 5E was submitted as 104H’s sire originally, however blood type parentage verification testing, utilized at the time, disqualified him and rather confirmed that Indeed 104H was sired by Red Glacier Divide 310. That was how he was then registered. Since then DNA technology has advanced greatly and we now use micro satellite technology. Indeed embryos were exported to a foreign country that required a two generation parentage test on incoming animals into their herdbook. A DNA genotype was created using micro satellite technology and his parentage was re-verified through this process, confirming the originally submitted sire parentage of Expansion 5E. Towaw Cattle Co. Ltd. and Six Mile Ranch, co owners of the bull, were notified of this situation on February 17th and a straw of semen was submitted to our Canadian lab to back up this finding. On February 28th the owners were informed that micro satellite parentage verification using 19 markers has verified that Red CC Expansion 5E (CCF 5E) 836778 is absolutely the sire of Red Towaw Indeed 104H (WDV 104H) 942651. The correction to Indeed’s pedigree was processed by the Canadian Angus Association on February 29th, 2012. Other Angus Associations globally have been notified of this correction. Due to the number of multi generational progeny on this proven sire, we anticipate minimal change in Indeed 104H’s high accuracy EPDs. Please do not hesitate to contact the Wildman and Gibson families of Towaw Cattle Co. and Six Mile Ranch or the Canadian Angus Association with any questions you may have. NOTE FROM SIX MILE: We are as shocked by these results as you are, although they actually make sense using “cowboy logic.” Indeed is still the same proven and elite bull he always was, and if anything, this makes his pedigree more unique and attractive. Here is the full brother twin to the lead off lot in the Soo Line Red Angus dispersal, Red Soo Line Momentum 7051, now a sire for Accelerated Genetics. Wildcard 7052 and Momentum 7051 sold as yearlings to Glengary Ranch for a receipt of $64,000. Their dam, Baneberry 5238 commanded $26,000 at the Soo Line sale, selling to Wildcat Creek Red Angus, NE. Wildcard’s sire, BCAR Wild Card, was raised by our good friend and fellow breeder, Clint Smith at Breed Creek Angus. He sold to Soo Line and KBJ for $30,000 but unfortunately, he was lost shortly after never having a chance to reach his true potential . We are offering a unique opportunity to purchase one of our proven herd bulls. Red T-K Summit 28T was purchased from the T-K program as one of our favorites at Agribiton 2007. He sires moderate framed, easy doing calves with extra muscle and hip shape. Summit is a bull that really stamps his calves. The average birthweight on two calf crops is 81 lbs, with a wean index average of 102. We have used Summit successfully on heifers in the past although we would not recommend him on smaller framed, lighter heifers. We feel that Thunder Struck is the best Black Angus bull we have raised to date. He offers supreme calving ease without compromising growth, performance or maternal merit. This bull is a big-time herd sire candidate exhibiting a power and depth of body you don’t often see in a true heifer bull. Thunder Struck has a definite presence and we just love his true Angus calving ease head. His two year old dam did a great job with a beautiful udder and great mothering ability. We sold a half interest in His dam, Tibbie 901W, at the inaugural Power and Perfection sale at Agribtion. Breed Creek Angus and Silver Sage Angus partnered up to make her the high selling female at $16,000. We initially bought him with the intent of using him on our open heifers but have since realized that he works great on mature cows as well. We have used Red Angus bulls on our farm for 25 years but this bull in particular is by far the easiest calving, biggest ribbed bull to date. We are currently calving out his daughters which are displaying great maternal qualities, calf vigor, and i exceptional temperament. Ps. Last spring a neighbor of ours that had seen the bull and his offspring came and asked if they could rent him for a breeding season as they were looking to improve the muscling and milk within their herd. Health Status: All Six Mile bulls have been vaccinated with Express 5 vaccine which includes IBR, PI-3, BVD - type 1 and 2 and BRSV. They have also been vaccinated with a somnugen and black leg vaccine. Each bull has been treated with Ivomec. 12. US Funds & Export: American money will be accepted at the most current rate of exchange on sale day and announced prior to the sale. Bulls will be export tested at Six Mile’s expense and delivered as soon as possible following the sale. 13. Right to Draw Semen: SIX MILE RED ANGUS reserves the right to draw 100 straws of semen for within herd use from any bull sold in the Sale. To be done at Six Mile’s expense and Buyer’s convenience. 14. DNA Testing: Any bull sold needing DNA testing will be done by Six Mile provided the bull remains at Six Mile after the sale. Please inform the sales clerk at time of settlement. 15. Sight Unseen Purchases and Guarantee: If you are unable to attend our sale, but are interested in our bulls, we can take an order on any of the Bulls in the sale.
