WELCOME TO RIGHT CROSS RANCH’S
7th Annual Bull Sale
Welcome to our 7th Annual Right Cross Ranch Bull Sale. To start off we’d like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our supporters over the years. As we prepare another catalogue the size of the “Thank You” section always catches our eye and makes our hearts feel so full. This is one of the reasons that we work as hard as we do and raise bulls year after year. To see that our cattle, our program and the direction we are headed is working for so many people is very fulfilling. Secondly, we would also like to thank our family, friends and neighbours. There are a lot of people who have stepped up time after time and helped us out when we needed a hand. From babysitting the girls to doing chores; your help is greatly appreciated. We are very proud of this year’s bull pen and the females that raised them. We feel that good cows raise good bulls. Each year we have culled our cowherd and select breeding females based on mothering ability, fertility, foot and leg structure, temperament and gut capacity. Our herd gets better and better every year. We have been choosing sires that we feel will take our herd, as well as yours, to the next level.
RIGHT CROSS RANCH
PO Box 100 Kisbey, SK S0C 1L0 rightcrossranch@hotmail.com SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASES: If you are interested in our bulls but can not attend the sale we would be happy to take your order. We will have sale staff, auctioneers and special representatives on hand to accommodate you. We ask that all bids be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
This year we will also be featuring a select group of black commercial heifer calves. They were all purchased from one ranch and some will be sired by Right Cross Ranch bulls. We bought these heifers in the fall because they were a set of marketable, breeding type females. Jason and Spencer Goudy of Stoughton will also be adding 10 red Simmental cross heifers to the offering. All heifers will be palpated prior to the sale and will be ready to enter a breeding program for the summer. They will be sold in groups of 5 of less. All videos of heifers and bulls will be available on TEAM or our website for your viewing needs. Feel free to stop in for a tour of our program, we’d love to show you around!

RIGHT CROSS RANCH NUTRITION:
Right Cross Ranch has a strong focus on nutrition and management for their growing bulls and entire cow herd. Each ration is balanced based on feed analysis and goals for each set of cattle. The bull rations are formulated with 20% coarse chopped hay to encourage cud chewing, a healthy rumen and longevity. Coarsely rolled barley or corn grain provides energy to optimize growth. Cereal silage and a custom formulated bull supplement rounds out the bull rations. Slow and steady growth is the goal for Right Cross bulls. It would be great if you have the opportunity to stop by the ranch to check out the bulls and the growing rations prior to the sale.

SPECIAL GUEST Bob Toner, Canadian Angus Association
From the Desk at T Bar....
Welcome to the 7th Annual Right Cross Ranch Spring Bull Sale at the ranch just minutes south of Kisbey, Saskatchewan. Right Cross Ranch and Cornerglen Ranching bring you an outstanding group of Red and Black Angus bulls for your evaluation. These bulls have been on test since last fall using a high protein, high roughage diet to insure and maintain soundness and fertility, while measuring individual performance. Whether you are looking for a calving specialist for ease in the spring or a power bull that will add some “punch” into your weights at weaning, this lineup will fill your needs. These breeding units are unique and cover the broad spectrum of the beef cycle from fertilization to the consumers plate. Jim and Sarah are true cow-people with a never-ending work ethic. This ethic coupled with common sense economics, have established a no-nonsense basic cow herd where feet, udders, calving ease and fertility are a standard. They run the operation in the same manner as their customer’s, so you can be assured these cattle will work in your environment. Dan and Dorothy, in addition to breeding seed stock, operate a feed yard and know the type it takes for profit in getting them to slaughter...it’s a winning combination! Stop by Right Cross Ranch any time prior to the sale and preview the bulls. Jim and Sarah would love to give you a tour or give a call to discuss your bull requirements and which bull or bulls will work best for you. If we, at T Bar C, may be of any assistance, prior to or sale day, do not hesitate to give myself or any of our professional team a call, as we can help you with your needs.

When we purchased our Soo Line Motive son I don’t know, at the time, if we really knew what we had got. In our mind he’s brought some really great qualities to our black herd. 70E exemplifies these great qualities with his length of body, thickness, smoothness, and all with just a 75 pound birth weight. Another calving ease specialist! 72E goes back to one of Sarah’s original cows out of Emulation EXT. There’s quite a few females in our herd that originate from this cow. 70E’s a bull that will calve easy to heifers and still throw some punch. He weaned off at over 700 pounds.

Hello and welcome to the 7th Annual Right Cross Ranch Bull Sale. This year we have five bulls on offer sired by either Lazy E Paradox 769B or Rainbow Hills Mountain Man 13C and out of some of our best cows. Each year we send bulls from our place at Ponoka, AB to be fed with Jim and Sarah’s bulls in Kisbey, SK. Raising cattle is a common interest within our family and we enjoy seeing our bulls sell in the “family” sale. When we purchased our herd bulls two years ago, we were looking for something with a little extra kick of performance. Saying this, we decided that Paradox and Mountain Man were the thickest and deepest bulls with the best feet and leg structure at each sale. These five bulls are a good example of this and will make ideal cow bulls. You can be sure to have the added pounds at weaning time. Once again, we appreciate your interest in our cattle and breeding programs. If you have any questions on or prior to sale day please feel free to contact Jim or Sarah , or any one of us at CGR. The bulls will once again be on TEAM so feel free to watch if you are unable to attend.

The Mountain Man sons are thick, thick, thick. 18E is a bigger framed bull that will add some grow and frame to his calf crop. His dam is just like all the other Angus Valley females, fancy and feminine. His grandmother is the mother to Lot 42.

59E should work on larger framed heifers or cows. This guy’s mother is one of the farm favourites, a never miss Tiger daughter. She’s a thick cow with a square set, great foot and udder and a nice disposition. One sister is working in the herd. This is your last year to buy a Paradox son, as we lost him this summer.

We purchased Lazy E Paradox 769B because we felt he was the thickest bull in the sale. Just as Lot 42 shows, the Paradox sons are deep flanked, larger framed and balanced. 86E will work on larger framed heifers or cows. One son and one daughter are working in the CGR herd.
