WELCOME TO RIGHT CROSS RANCH’S
3rd Annual Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale
RIGHT CROSS RANCH
PO Box 100 Kisbey, SK S0C 1L0 rightcrossranch@hotmail.com SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASES: If you are interested in our bulls but can not attend the sale we would be happy to take your order. We will have sale staff, auctioneers and special representatives on hand to accommodate you. We ask that all bids be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
We launched our December sale 3 years ago with the goal of providing breeding stock, male and female, to cattle producers. How cool, a one stop shop for someone looking for top quality bred heifers to add to their herd and why not grab a bull while their at it? We welcome you to our 3rd Annual Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale. As a field rep with TEAM, Jim works diligently on selecting heifer calves in the fall that will be backgrounded, palpated, bred in the spring and featured in our December sale. It’s important to us that we purchase heifers from local ranchers, whose herds we have toured, whose drug protocol we have faith in, and are ultimately heifers we feel we can stand behind. The 100 + heifers in this years sale are uniform, feminine, structurally sound, and have muscle mass. There are approximately 60 blacks and 50 reds/tans made up of Angus or Simmental Cross Angus. The blacks were bred either Black or Red Angus while the red/tans were exposed to two top end calving ease Red Angus bulls. The heifers were only exposed for 60 days, ultra-sounded, given their first shot of Scour Bos and should start calving the end of March. These bred heifers will be videoed and sold in small groups. This year we have 21 long yearling bulls on offer from our late Spring calving cowherd. In order to make the workload a little easier on the two of us, a few years ago we moved a portion of our purebred herd to calve in late Spring and purchased an established Black herd. These bulls were raised specifically for this sale, not picked over! They’ve been selected based on structure, bloodlines and the cow behind them. We’ve coasted these guys on a high protein diet to achieve, what we feel, is nice condition for long yearling bulls. We offer a winter feeding program to our customers ($4/day) to continue raising your bull till the end of March. It’s important to us, at Right Cross Ranch, to provide our customers with the best product we can. Whether it be bulls, heifers, beef, photography services or cattle marketing services, we were both taught and continue to teach our own children that it’s essential to give it your all! We thank you for your continued support and confidence in us and our program! Please feel free to stop in anytime to view the bulls or bred heifers! Sincerely,
Jim, Sarah, Morgan & Quinn Anderson Right Cross Ranch

From the Desk at T Bar....
Welcome to the 3rd Annual Right Cross Ranch Commercial Female and Long Yearling Bull Sale at the ranch on December 3rd, Kisbey, Saskatchewan. The Andersons, Jim and Sarah, are a hardworking couple dedicated to beef production and the Angus breed. The female line-up is uniform and broody. Their breeding cycle of 50 days demonstrates the fertility and soundness of the group. Angus influenced, we all know that the Angus female remains “Queen of the Pasture,” a great mother who is fertile and can survive the elements while bringing in a big stout calf each fall. Whether you are looking for a trailer-full or a pot-load, this offering will fit your requirements. The long yearling bulls are saved and geared for this event; they are the younger born bulls, grass raised all summer and not picked over. These young sires will cover more ground and more cows next spring. Right Cross offers a wintering program so that your purchases do not get beat-up by your other bulls or occupy a much-needed pen at home. These genetic packages can add value to your program while saving tax dollars as year end is just around the corner. Feel free to stop by the ranch for a preview or give Jim and Sarah a call to discuss your requirements. Remember to come early sale day and be guests for a complimentary lunch. If we, at T Bar C, may be of any assistance prior to or sale day, feel free to contact any of the T Bar team for professional and confidential assistance.

When we purchased the females that originated from the Double P herd, the thing that we loved about the group was their depth. These smaller framed cows have sure fit into our program with top notch udders and feet that last. The dam of Lot 1 is no exception. She’s a cow that we’d have no problem showing anyone. Empire is a bull we feel would work good on cows or heifers.

If you keep track of the cow families that have really worked at RCR, you’ll be well aware of the Freyja name. The overall thickness that this line adds to their calves is UNREAL! I wish Sarah could have got a picture from behind Lot 3; his hip and middle is literally four feet wide! A bull that’ll make great females and steers that’ll push the scale down!

The dam of Lot 4 is probably Sarah’s favorite cow in our spring/summer calving group. She is another Double P cow that is low to the ground, has a perfect udder, good feet and consistently delivers a calf with a light birth weight. If you’re looking for a bull that will work on your first calf heifers, here’s your guy! His picture speaks for itself.
