Right Cross Ranch 2026 Bull Sale With Guest Consignor - The Robert's Family

Page 1

15 Years, what an accomplishment!

First, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank “Our Circle!” We have people who show up for us over and over again. We have employees who go above and beyond, day in and day out. We have family who we chat with daily, or more sometimes, to run ideas by or just shoot the shit. We have local business relationships who are essential to our survival. We have friends who would be here in a split second, if we needed a hand, no matter the task. We have customers who have sat in our stands year after year. They have confidence in us, our cattle, and our program. We have neighbors who give us the opportunity to work back and forth. From delivering unwanted grain for us to make use of, to supplying a missing ingredient from the fridge for a recipe. Sorry to sound longwinded, but we KNOW we wouldn’t be here without “Our Circle.” Thank you; we appreciate your support!

At Right Cross Ranch, we don’t have banners won in the show ring, to measure our success. To us, success might look a little different. Success is, doing our best to raise ranch kids who will be an asset to society. It’s requiring them to feed their own 4-H steers morning and night, even if they’re just 6 years old. It’s sitting on the top rail of a round pen and letting our oldest try her hand at training a colt. It’s allowing the “middle child” to buy her own Charolais heifer even if whites aren’t our cup of tea.

Success is, selling well over half of our sales offerings to repeat buyers year after year. It’s researching herd sires and programs, purchasing a bull that we feel will take us in the direction we want to go. It’s seeing people trust our program, our direction, and the seedstock we’re providing them!

Success is, managing our cattle with the “real world” in mind. It’s feeding our bulls with a focus on longevity. This year’s offering saw a TMR with corn silage, haylage, DDGs, brown oats, dry hay, and a mineral pack. We feel success is dropping off an athletic bull at a customer’s place, with hopes that he’ll be around for years to come!

Success is, putting our cowherd to the test and being real with who fits and who doesn’t and sending the outliers “to town.” Whether it be feet, attitude, poor mothering ability, fertility, or hard doers, we know every one of those bitches earned their place on that truck. To us, success is seeing that liner drive down the laneway, knowing that we’re making room for cattle that are better quality, advancing our program that much more! The beautiful thing about recent years is that we’re actually getting paid to make those improvements in our herd!

Success is, sitting down, having hard conversations about our operation and getting real with the direction of our ranch. It’s making the decision to move every cow to May calving because that’s what fits best for this family. It’s sitting in the uncomfortable space of change but being excited for a “new and improved” program!

Success is, being presented with future ranching business opportunities. Not really knowing how it’s going to work, but diving in anyways.

Success is, being thankful for 15 great years but still looking for growth in the future. It’s surrounding yourself with like-minded people. It’s appreciating mentors who have been “around the world” a lot more than we have and are willing to share their knowledge. Lastly, success is making room for the next generation. We’d like to welcome the Roberts family and their 3 Charolais yearling bulls to our sale. They are a hard-working, honest, young family, and we’re proud of them for getting their feet wet in the cattle business! Please consider this, your invitation to the 15th Annual Right Cross Ranch Bull Sale.

The Anderson’s

T Bar C... FROM THE DESK AT

Welcome to the 15th Annual Right Cross Ranch Bull Sale.

Right Cross Ranch has built their program around practical, ranch-raised cattle designed to work in the real world. This year’s offering includes a strong set of yearling and two-year-old Red and Black Angus bulls that have been developed with longevity, soundness, and function in mind. Whether you are searching for calving ease heifer bulls or performance-oriented bulls to add power to your cow herd, this group offers options backed by strong maternal genetics. These are cattle raised the way commercial cattlemen expect—sound, functional, and ready to go to work.

New to the sale this year is a small but impressive offering of Charolais bulls consigned by MR Farms, adding another option for programs looking to add hybrid vigor and performance.

Congratulations to the crew at Right Cross Ranch on reaching their 15th annual sale. On behalf of T Bar, we invite you to study the offering and join us for sale day. If you are unable to attend and require any assistance prior to or sale day do not hesitate to reach out to any member of our Team.

NUTRITION:

Barry Robinson, P.H.D

Great Northern Livestock Consulting Ltd.

Nutrition: Right Cross Ranch grow their bulls on a high roughage total mixed ration. The Right Cross bull ration is based on corn silage, dry cut hay, brown oats, corn distillers and a custom formulated grower supplement specifically designed for Right Cross Ranch.

Ingredients: Corn silage is extremely palatable and a great source of energy for the bulls. The dry cut hay gives an added chewing factor to the ration. Corn distillers is a highly palatable source of “bypass protein” and has energy equivalent to barley grain. The main source of added energy to the bull ration is brown oats, a very safe form of grain energy. The custom formulated supplement is fortified with more than 100% of the bull’s needs for trace minerals and vitamins in addition to balancing the macro minerals such as calcium and phosphorous. Rumensin is added to the Right Cross custom supplement to optimize rumen health and improve feed efficiency.

Management: Right Cross bulls are ranch raised and not pampered by any stretch of the imagination. Jim, Sarah and crew make sure the bulls come from a sound breeding program and then are precisely fed and tightly managed.

Be sure to check out this excellent set of ranch raised bulls.

FREEZE BRAND:

We plan to freeze brand all of the bulls. If you’d like your bull done, please leave him with us, we’ll get him branded and then delivered to you.

THANK YOU:

Thank you to Weirs Catering for a fantastic sale day meal!

Bravo is famous around here for throwing curve benders! 5N was born at just 74 lbs and pushed the scale down at weaning! Out of a moderate first calf heifer with a perfect udder; she’s going to leave her mark! If your focus is bulls that have females to back him, mark this guy!

RCR BRAVO 11N

There are only 2 Bravo calves available this year; if you’re looking for black calving ease specialists these are your boys! 11N is out of a clean made first calf heifer and his granddam is 11 years old with quite a respectable track record.

RCR THUNDER 13N

13N has been a bull that has caught our eye since birth. He’s proportionate, smooth frontended, long like a freight train, stands on a solid foot, and has bone and capacity. He won’t have any problem turning heads on sale day.

Flying K Thunderbolt really stamps his calves. They’re all wide over the pins, long spined, and good footed. If you like the look of his bulls, you should see his female calves! 35N is out of the Sybil cow family; every heifer calf should have a beautiful udder!

RED RCR THUNDER 35N

Here’s the only Everblack ROI bull calf available this year! We’re so excited about the direction ROI is going to take our herd, not only on the bulls we’ll sell, but also the type of female’s he’s going to leave behind! 47N has a “showstopper” look! A big caboose in the back, big middle, and stylish front end. Don’t miss your chance at some really neat genetics here! Brother sold to Rachel & Tyril Dayman.

RED RCR BOOMER 43N

We loved Lot 3 in last year’s sale (who sold to Cornerglen Ranching) so much; we decided to recreate the same bull! 43N is built like a brick shit house! He’s dark cherry red with a clean Angus style head. His mother is a cow that you’ll notice touring our herd. Other brothers have sold to Nolan and Kate Mudrewich and Midpoint Farms.

42N, what a looker! He’s got all kinds of herd bull characteristics; depth, capacity, solid foundation, and great hair to boot! Check out the picture of his dam’s udder, she’s a Beauty!

45N is our last Valor son, he should cross great on your exotic cows. We’re really happy with the consistency in the Valor calves. If you look across the sire group, you’ll notice they’re all similar in shape and style. One maternal sister works in our herd.

RED RCR VALOR 45N

In 2024, we were searching for a Black herd sire that would have a huge body, lots of power, be backed by a top end female, and stand on a great foot. We landed upon Duralta 0968 Jesse James 41L. His first calf crop sent us in just the direction we were hoping to go! 22N is the oldest Jesse and he represents the sire group well. Power and thickness!

RCR JESSE JAMES 49N

If you’re searching for a bull that’s going to put some “body” into your herd and yet not compromise foot quality, add 49N to your list. Huge scrotal, body mass, and eye appeal.

JESSE JAMES

S A V JESSE JAMES 0968

After a DNA faux pas with 55N’s dam 153H years ago, we are unable to register her. Every single year she knocks it out of the park. You can see in 55N why we look past a set of papers and let her keep raising “purebred” calves. I’m confident 55N will be a herd sire that you’ll remember for years to come.

LOT 13 RCR JESSE JAMES 49N LOT 14
JESSE JAMES 55N

74N brings you another bull that’s stamped with the Jesse James 41L look! He’ll be one that will sire drool worthy steers! RCR JESSE JAMES 74N

TIBBIE 101D

Have a look at 85N’s pedigree! It’s stacked with number after number of great female makers on both top and bottom! You’re going to want to keep every female sired by this one! I also challenge you to stand behind 85N; he’s the widest yearlings in the pen, in my opinion! Brothers have sold to David and Donna Stewart and Glen Smith.

RCR JESSE JAMES 85N

RCR JESSE JAMES 94N

S

94N should be near the top of your list if you’re looking for a wellrounded bull! He’s soggy and hairy, with a beautiful black foot. His half-brother sold to Terri Cockle last year and according to her, he bred 92% of his heifers with 90% of them being bred in the first cycle! Talk about aggressive; that’s where the money is made in this industry!

RCR JESSE JAMES

98N has been one that’s caught my eye since birth. He’s got such an “Angus” look all the way through! His dam is a moderate beautifully made cow.

LOT 17 RCR JESSE JAMES 94N

S

RCR JESSE JAMES 103N

When you get one with a profile like 103N, you better just wait till you get a pass on the semen test before you go getting too excited! If you sell bulls, you can relate! Nonetheless, we feel he’s pretty darn cool! He always had a “herd bull” look and gave the real herd sires a run for their money when they were all out with the cows. Just the right look, the youngest in the sale, and just 63 lbs at birth!

You’ll recognize 58M’s dam! She’s been a top producer for years; her pictures speak for themselves. It’s cows like these that lead our program forward! Maternal sister raised lot 7, a brother sold to Poirier Prairie Ag Ventures, and another maternal sister works in our herd.

Maternal brothers have sold to Martee Farm and Ranch and his sister raised Lot 4.

Muscleman! 98M has always looked a little like The Hulk! If you like them big based and masculine and backed by a smaller framed tank of a cow, add 98M to your list! Maternal brother sold to Thue Land & Cattle.

192M is SLEEK! He’s got the nutts, butts, and guts we all look for in a future herd sire! His mother is conformationally the kind we wish we had dozens of! She raised another bull that will be in the bull pen next year.

We’re really happy with the sons who are sired by the Renovation line; 041M is the youngest of the brothers. In last year’s sale, they were a highlight and are eye catching again this year!

The job of the write up lady gets easier when she’s presented with a bull like 025M. He didn’t picture as well as his brother but take a look at his video! He’s one you’re going to want on your list!

The McRae family boasts about Ripzone 89D. They love his natural thickness, masculinity, structural soundness, excellent testicles, eye appeal who was raised by a feminine, good milking mother. We’re proud to offer 037M who represents his sire well!

Hello,we are Matthew, Micaela, and Colt Roberts. We are located outside of Lampman, Sk. We have had commercial cows for the last 4 years and have just recently extended into the purebred charolais program. In our program we are aiming to produce athletic, strong footed, and structurally sound bulls.

Matthew had worked for Jim and Sarah in the previous years and without their help and guidance we would not of been able to grow our herd to where we are now. We want to give a huge thank you to the Anderson family for giving us this opportunity to be apart of their sale.

We want to thank everyone for taking the time to view and show an interest in our bulls.

The Roberts’

Stout made bull with a good temperament

A stylish, long bodied, smooth shoulders, and an easy moving bull.

TO OUR 2025 BUYERS Thank You!
