Thanks for showing interest in our 1st Annual Right Cross Ranch Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale. For years we have been involved in the cattle industry making little changes to our breeding program to improve the next years calf crop. We are proud of every aspect of our 400 head herd; purebred or commercial. It has been a dream of ours to showcase our female calves just as we do our males.

Our group of Long Yearling bulls is the first calf crop from our new Summer calving herd. With just the two of us here we knew we needed to make a few changes. We decided to push a group of our red cows back to summer calving, and we purchased a package of black cows from Colin and Lisa Vogel.

We definitely enjoyed the benefits of summer calving; less calving problems, less labour intensive, and better weather! These bulls have been developed with longevity in mind and fed a ration created by our nutritionist Barry Robinson with Great Northern Livestock Consulting. This was the same ration that we fed our April sale bulls. The bulls will be semen tested before the sale and Bonnie Thompson will be available sale day for all your insurance needs. For your convenience, we have decided to give our customers the option of leaving the bulls here until March 31st to be further developed for spring breeding. They will again be fed the same ration as our April sale bulls at a rate of $4.00/day.

Welcome to the first Annual Right Cross Ranch Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale. Jim and Sarah, now with two little ones in tow are an extremely hard working young family who love the cattle business .

As the ranch and family have grown so have their marketing needs, they will still host the spring bull sale in April as well. However with the large number of cows grazing the pastures at Right Cross a management decision was made to calve some cows later in the spring, when mother nature can help take care of them and not be fighting with Jack Frost. Hence the need for a long yearling bull sale, these bulls are simply too young to sell in the spring. Which is a great thing for those of you who are looking to source extra age bulls that are not the left over’s. These bulls have been kept back and developed on grass specifically for this event. They are sound, rugged, calving ease bulls who will be ready to do a man’s job as soon as you need them to.

The commercial heifers originate at home on the ranch or were sourced from great customers, close to home. No matter what your program is, we will have heifers that will not only fit in but add to it. These heifers have all been developed and bred on pasture. They are extremely fertile, all being bred within fifty days. The heifers will be sorted down into small groups allowing those needing small and large numbers to all select the heifers that suit them best.

December 5th is your opportunity to select reputation commercial bred heifers , bred to proven calving ease bulls. As well get a jump on your bull buying needs and maybe keep a little more of your hard earned money out of those fools hands in Ottawa.

Commercial Bred Hiefers

Selling In Small Packages Suitable For Everyone This group of bred heifers is a combination of the top end of our own commercial heifers and a group that we purchased from Percyview Farms last August. The breds are Angus based with Simmental influence giving us blacks with white faces, blazed, brockled, red, and tan heifers which we bred to Red and Black Angus calving ease bulls. All of the bred heifers have been confirmed safe in calf with the black group calving April/May and the red group calving March/April. Each red heifer was dated and will be sold based on which month she is calving in. These heifers are deep bodied, broody females and the Simmental group has a strong Soderglen influence behind it. These heifers were born between April and June 2015 showing their fertility breeding in a 50 day calving period at just 14 months. We feel anyone looking to take advantage of the market should definitely have a look at these heifers!

The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Each animal sells to the highest bigger and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day.

All monies are in Canadian funds.

Certif cate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Guarantee: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.

Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in extreme cases, be taken must be between buyer and seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibility of any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.

Phone, Mail & Wire Bids: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

Insurance: We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.

Errors: All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supersede any written material in the catalogue.

Wintering Bulls will be wintered at a rate of $4/day. The feed must be paid for in full at the time of delivery of the bull.

Commercial Heifers: Heifers must be picked up by December 19, 2016.
