Welcome Yearly we take this opportunity to invite all cattle producers to our sale. Everyone is welcome to attend our sale, enjoy the camaraderie and information shared with fellow cattlemen. This year there is a rebirth of enthusiasm and potential in agriculture. For some of us older farmers and ranches it may be a little harder to get as excited as we have in the past but we sure can encourage and support the younger generations achieve their goals and dreams. As I deliver bulls in the spring, I’m impressed with the improvement that has been made in the production of livestock. There is a conscious effort to raise better cattle and improve management. These were tough things to do in hard times but it certainly has positioned the industry to capitalize in good times, like never before. We are always striving to raise better bulls. Perfection is not achievable, but improvement is. The 2012 sale bulls represent many years of breeding and selection. These Charolais bulls will get the most profitable production from any breed of cow in commercial herd. You are welcome to view the bull prior to the sale and please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions. The sale is at 2:00 PM to give you a chance to get things done at home before hitting the road. Lunch is served right up to sale time and after the sale stay for a barbecue and refreshments.
Perrot-Martin From the desk at T Bar... All livestock producers are aware of the market and the up-sloping indicators for the exciting years which lie ahead. The Charolais influence feeders and stockers have had market preference over the past decades and this past fall; we found that those who used quality Charolais sires were rewarded a very large premium for their decisions and dedication. The most important factor in achieving an added value premium is quality with uniformity … that is what makes the Perrot-Martin bull pen a “cut above the rest.” The 2012 line-up is exciting. First and foremost, this is by far the most uniform offering they have ever presented …ideal in frame size, thick with lots of hair and scrotal. Remember: It is a myth that the older a bull gets, the bigger his calves will be. The genetics will not vary; however, environmental conditions, management practices and feed quality experienced from year to year certainly will vary calf size and cow conditions which determine calving ease. Whether you buy a yearling or two-year-old bull will not determine the length of time you can keep your bull. The determining factor is usually whether replacement daughters are kept or not and whether the bull remains sound and injury free. Very seldom will a bull that breeds cows every year become too big and too heavy to service cows. Be assured that these two-year-olds ARE NOT leftovers. If you need a two-year-old, don’t compromise. Buy a bull to suit your expectations and needs. Getting as many cows bred as possible decreases your breeding costs and pays dividends.

Terms & Conditions Terms: The terms of the sale are cash of cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. Bidding: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. No by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final. Announcements: All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.
Breeder’s Guarantee: Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to
be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (60 months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.
Exception of Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.
Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.
Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements. Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder. Rights & Obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be
equally binding to both. Resale of the animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
Phone, Mail, Wire Bids: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. Delivery: We will assist in arranging transportation wherever possible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Insurance: Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value. Errors: All announcement at sale time, written or oral, supersede any written material in the catalogue.
