With the tremendous improvement in the cattle industry today we sure are thankful to have this sale opportunity. This year we have a tremendous offering of 19 head. Our successful ET program has allowed us to offer for your consideration a quality group of cattle that normally we would retain, just too many to keep so we let Carl and Ben pick some of the best. Four El Toro flush sisters, a fancy fullblood, five bred heifers by “Stubby”, three cow/calf pairs and a Stubby bull round out the offering. A total of eight “Stubby” offspring for sale. You would have to go to western Canada to see this many in one sale. Six head in the offering are from our power house Sarnia 6S flush cow or her dam 6K, which is one of the original blacks we purchased in Kansas in 1999 from the Taylors Ranch, the original black Simmental breeder and the home of famous Black Irish Kansas . Some of you know the story, we went to Kansas looking for a 4H calf and came home with two trailer loads of black Simmentals. We have invested in the industry’s top AI sires. Currently we use, Lewis 322U “Stubby,” NLC Upgrade Crossroad Radium, Hoc Broker, El Toro and Wheatland 680S. For next year’s offering look for a new exciting bull we used this year called Combustible. Our solid program is complemented by our herd sires RHF BLK Wheatland 680Y a direct son of the great 680S out of a Black Irish Kansas dam and RHF Black Bolt, whose dam is a 680S daughter and is sired by the great ‘Stubby” Lewis 322U. Here is a heifer calf that every time you look at her she gets better; depth, hip, capacity, she has it all. Her dam “Waydamar Blk Supergirl” was purchased at the 9th Annual Autumn Simmental Classic Sale and since then she has produced one show bull, another bull that was at the top of his group for ADG this past year at the Kenilworth bull test station. With the genetics of this heifer, she will improve anyone’s herd. This heifer is being used as a 4-H project, with final show September 21st. We can deliver after October 1st.

This heifer is out of a hardworking Dynamite Black female who has raised me three replacement females in two years; she works hard, and goes back to a good D12 cow that we bought out of Ron Woodisse’s 2006 dispersal and has become top matron here at Knollbrook Farms. Her sire Is “Maplerose Krypton” who we purchased from Bill Elford. His females are nice uddered fertile cows.
