Welcome to the 2016 New Trend Salers Bull Sale... Canada’s source for quality Salers seed stock. The success of this event is due to the quality and consistency of the bulls and the repeat customer base who take advantage of profit earning Salers sires.

2016 offers a great group of red and black bulls...uniform in type, ideal in frame size, plenty of muscle shape, hair, testicle and bringing with them what the breed is noted for, calving ease and vigor at birth. The New Trend producers are leaders of the breed throughout North America; therefore you can be assured of cutting edge genetics to advance your own program.

In this era of the livestock industry, the most expensive calf is a dead calf; therefore ease of calving and vigor must be watch-words as we replace and breed females to restock the North American beef cow herds. For those who have not used a Salers bull in your pasture it is not too late to enjoy your 2017 calving season. Since New Trend producers are the official suppliers of quality Salers sires, selection is limited.

Welcome to the Sale

As I am writing this Cody and I have just returned from the National Salers Show in Denver, and we have brought back some additions to our herd. We added two females that go back to Torrington, as well as our pick of bulls from the 2015 National Sale. We have a partnership with Kenny Crawford of THAT Farm of Arkansas on THATs Bud, who was named Reserve Champion at the Missouri State Fair.

We are excited about the largest string of bulls we have sold so far. We have been cautious to build quality before quantity, but with over 50 Unmatched daughters in our herd we are on the verge of a very exciting future.

We are very proud that Cody was named 2015 Junior Salers Breeder of the Year. The combination of Cody’s experience and youthful ambition point to a very productive future. At 21 years of age, Cody has been working with me, both with cattle and decision making, for most of the 13 years since he started 4-H.

Again we headed to Denver to the National Salers Show where the best breeders bring the best of their herds and Vista rose to the top of his class. Vista goes back to the legendary Torrington bull of Macdonald Ranches. He’s moderate framed with a super strong skeleton, and stands on an amazing set of feet and legs. His first calf crop had very light birth weights across the board. His first set of bulls are for sale this year, all out of first calf heifers. All of Vista’s bulls were in the top half of our pen in terms of gain, which also confirms the Unmatched females.

In our ranch raised bulls you will find calving ease, good foot and bone structure, correctness of conformation, along with gentle dispositions. We have always used exclusively polled genetics.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Salers Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

HEALTH: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
