Neilson Cattle Company Welcome to our 2018 bull sale. This marks the 5th sale hosted at our own “sale” barn at Willowbrook. We have been able to accomplish this because of the support of our customers, some of whom have been purchasing our bulls right from our first bull sale almost 30 years ago. Whether you are a long time customer, or someone that is thinking about using our bulls for the first time, we invite you to view the catalogue, sale videos or view the bulls here at home. Our goal is to raise bulls that have the great genetics of the Charolais breed. We want them to last a long time in your bull battery so we raise them with ideal nutritional management and ample exercise. These bulls spend most of their time grazing under natural conditions same as your cow herd. Because of that you will see that they maintain their body condition throughout the breeding season. We look forward to seeing you on March 19th. Lunch is at noon and it will be a big steaming piece of lasagne served by the Willowbrook Community Centre Caterers.
Neilson Cattle Company Box 29, Willowbrook, SK S0A 4P0 H: 306-783-0331 C: 306-620-7252 info@neilsoncattle.com www.neilsoncattle.com
As always, help out a young cattleman. They are our neighbours today and our industry’s future.
– Mike and Joanne Neilson
Neilson Cattle Company
From the desk at T Bar.... Welcome to the 28th Annual Neilson Cattle Company Charolais Bull Sale on Highway #47, Willowbrook, Saskatchewan. Please note that the sale is being held a couple of weeks later to accommodate you, the customer…warmer weather and more day light, which should help all of you during calving season. The Neilson program is unique, as it is one of the last sources of two-year-old Charolais bulls available. Over the past twenty-eight years this program has never altered. Due to manpower and management practices, the cow herd is calved later and these younger born bulls are raised all summer on grass. The bulls are placed on a high roughage ration in the fall and most importantly, for Mike, longevity is an important factor. What an opportunity to select from a strong set of bulls that will cover more ground and more cows and are ready to get the job done. Rugged, hairy, with lots of testicle, shape and selected from a large base of ranch-run cows. The demand for Charolais influence has never been greater as auction markets and feedlots cannot get enough…bigger, stronger calves at weaning, weighing more, bringing more and topping the market place…you decide what breed your sire will be for your next set of calves…economics tells me Charolais! Plan to be with us on March 19th, it will be well worth the trip! Feel free to stop by the ranch anytime prior to preview the bulls or give Mike and Joanne a call to discuss your breeding requirements. If we, at T Bar C, may be of any assistance, prior to or sale day, do not hesitate to give myself or any of our professional team a call, as we can help you with your needs.
