Neilson Cattle Company Greetings and welcome to our 2016 Bull Sale. We have had a great winter and look forward to all the seasons that follow.

In this age of swirling information and technology, the fundamentals of raising cattle are unchanged. Our goal is to raise bulls that come from functional mothers and sound, easy moving performance sires. Bulls must be able to travel and to survive in all conditions and environments since each customer has a unique herd and situation.

We are privileged to meet and get to know cattle people and their families all because of our bull sales and our involvement with the Charolais breed.

Our relationship to our customer is considered important and valuable.

Joanne and I welcome visits and comments from you at any time. We continue to try to improve our cattle and the management of our operation.

Some of the best advice has come from our customers.

Please come early to our bull sale for lunch, and to view the bulls. Once again, the bulls will be sold by video.

2016 marks the 26th annual bull sale for Mike and Joanne! That’s a huge accomplishment; but moreover a very successful feat in producing and marketing so many bulls, for so many years and mostly to repeat customers...there are only a very few breeders to succeed at such a task. The best part of the program...they’ve only just begun!

This annual sale is truly unique, as it is one of the few bull sales that entirely offers virgin two year old bulls, designed to cover more ground and more cows. Since these bulls have not been picked over or are 2015’s leftovers, you have the opportunity to select from the top of the entire bull crop. These bulls are polled, ranch raised, sound footed with lots of hair, testicles and performance. Over the years the Neilson’s have selected herd sires with high calving ease values, therefore, that important factor is bred into the cow herd for a higher degree of predictability.

It has been stated on many occasions that the cattle are only as good as the people who produce them....well Mike and Joanne are among the finest to work with; which reflects upon the great customer service and “The Neilson Guarantee” that comes with your purchases. Over the past twenty-six years of selling bulls, their goal is to provide quality Charolais sires that will get your cows bred and add performance and pay-weight in calves without sacrificing the other important traits.

We all know the advantages of using Charolais bulls ... it’s simple economics, or what Ted calls “Charo-nomics”... more pounds of calf at weaning, a higher price per pound and more salvage value when you are done. It is a win–win scenario and it’s never too late to use Charolais bulls!

Plan to be with us at the farm, in a heated sale barn...come early, view the bulls and be guests for a great noon luncheon. Do not hesitate to stop by the farm anytime prior the sale and have a look at the bulls and their mothers.

Terms & Conditions

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

Bidding...

Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

Announcements...

Rights and Obligations...

The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

Phone, Mail, Wire Bids...

Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, mail or wire their bids and instructions to the sale managers, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

Delivery...

Neilson Cattle Company will assist with delivery arrangements. Bulls can be boarded free until April 30th.

After May 1st, bulls will be charged $5/day.

All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

All animals sell with no further guarantee. All sales are final.

Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Will be available sale day. All bulls left at the ranch must be insured.

All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supercede any written material in the catalogue.

Neilson Cattle Company reserves the right to use photos of anyone that attends the sale.

Liabilities...

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer.
