LOT ONE

The OCA is pleased to offer the Player’s Club $50,000 Bull Calf Futurity as the lead off lot in the National Charolais Sale! Top breeders will gather at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. to select the 2022 $50,000 Player’s Club Champion! Selling ¾ Interest and Full Possession. No semen can be sold or gifted in Canada until 2024 as the bull will remain exclusive to the Player’s Club membership until that time. International semen sales (including every other country other than Canada) are not restricted in any way or form. Semen may be collected for use by the 1/4 interest owner and the ‘purchaser’ of this lot at their expense. The Player’s Club Champion will be sent to stud as soon as he is deemed to be ready and must freeze the required amount of semen for all Player’s Club members prior to being able to be released to the new owner. The OCA will cover the costs of collecting semen for the Player’s Club membership. Every effort will be made to collect semen in a timely manner but all bulls respond to collection differently and therefore the OCA cannot guarantee when the bull will be available for natural breeding. If you have any questions, any OCA Board member or the sales staff of T Bar C, will be happy to answer them for you.

A few years ago I was wandering through the barn at Agribition and I stumbled upon MVY Starstruck 41D as a calf in the McAvoy show string. After much debate and a couple of drinks, I came home owning a half interest in this great show female. Fast forward a few years to July of this year when Ben Wright came to our farm looking for a sale female for the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Winter Fair. He wasn’t long finding MVY Starstruck 41D and her heifer calf Rollin’ Acres Starstruck 47K. After a long debate and a few drinks, we agreed to part with the choice of these two amazing females. The opportunity to purchase a direct daughter of SVY 8X surely does not come along every day and when it does, you just don’t have any choice but to sit up and make it happen. MVY 41D is a stand out cow in the prime of her life. Whether you want a front end cow that is perfectly footed and has a beautiful utter or a big ribbed, easy keeping cow to flush - this is your cow. We have had her on the show road this fall and everyone has said they wish they had a hundred just like her.
Retaining the right to one flush on the selection, at our expense and the buyer’s convenience.

Offered by Rollin’ Acres Charolais and McAvoy Charolais

However, if the cow isn’t what catches your eye, her gorgeous heifer calf HDT 47K will. This heifer calf has turned heads and caught the attention of everyone, everywhere we have taken her. Rollin’ Acres Starstruck 47K also comes with a unique and outcross pedigree with her sire being half French and polled. From the families of Rollin’ Acres Charolais and McAvoy Charolais, we are very proud to offer you the opportunity to choose from these great females. The cow/calf pair will be entered at Canadian Western Agribition
Retaining the right to one flush on the selection, at our expense and the buyer’s convenience.

This “Princess” clearly has what it takes as next in line for the throne! selling
is the profit center for your operation, you’d be well served to study CRG Shez Legal 49K. Unequivocally the stoutest built, most powerful female we have ever put a halter on, yet has a look and presence that stops you dead in your tracks every time, and blends her unique qualities seamlessly. We used the well-proven, homozygous polled, WC Milestone 5223 as an outcross to inject serious performance without sacrificing maternal excellence, udder quality and an elite look... it certainly worked here to produce a female that also stems from one of our most highly regarded cow lines, the Miss Monties, who have consistently rung the bell in the show ring and at sale time with daughters commanding record prices in recent years as well as hanging big banners. We look forward to seeing the impact that this powerful donor prospect can have on someone’s herd down the road!

This little lady is true to her name. She is sweet, soft fronted and everyone wants a dozen of them but never wants to share. Kristy Kreme was a hard female to let go of as we love everything about her and the cow family she belongs to. Her dam side is one of our top producing cow families paired up with Pleasantdawn Ace 416G to add that extra bit of performance. Just like a donut, it never hurts to have one more - make sure you get your hands on this one.

we saw this calf’s mother become available at the Fallsview sale from Derrer Farms with a confirmed Outrageous female pregnancy, we knew we better jump at the opportunity. All we can say is its nice when a plan comes together! This sweetheart of a female continues to impress us with each passing day, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise being that she comes from the same family on the bottom as the great Berkley Anne, and having the ever popular DF MR Outrageous on the top end, no doubt makes her a rare genetic treasure here in Canada. If show ring appeal is your game, look no further, this little gem has all the pieces it takes to chase banners and has already put together herself an impressive resume. We have no doubt that the best is yet to come for this heifer! Offered by Maplelm Cattle Co. and Bogart Cattle Co.

We are very excited to offer Fergus Kasey 4K in this years National Charolais Royal sale. This fancy made Legend daughter comes very complete in her makeup with lots of middle, square hipped wide topped and as well balanced as they come. Her dam Fergus Hazelnut 4H is a first calver and has done an exceptional job on her heifer calf. We are very excited for what this cow family has in hold for the future and don’t expect nothing else but a bright future for Fergus Kasey 4K in both the show ring and pasture.

This heifer Ben picked is a real head turner from none other than BRCHE White Bear and our classy big ribbed Medonte foundation cow. BRCHE White Bear was Grand Champion Charolais Bull in Fort Worth Texas show and 51st Reserve National Champion Bull. He has consistently produced show ring winner’s continent wide. He’s perfectly matched to our Medonte cow who almost effortlessly pops out her polled calves yearly. I was so impressed with this great heifer calf I’ve bred her back the same this year. DeGurse Kathy 14K is a showstopper! Perfect feet placement and tracking in her gait is a must that she will bring into your genetics. I can’t get over the balanced and powerful front end and flat-topped shoulders that set her above the pack. She’s outstandingly sized for her age, has that shape, bone structure, charm and presence you just know is a top female producer and will produce results you want in the ring and in your future calf crop. She’s got the shape in the back end, a full depth of leg muscling and rib fulfillment that puts winners up front!

Jessica is a great example of our Turnbull’s Equipped 216E daughters. We are impressed with both his daughters and sons. Her dam Pale Lucky Shades 30D is a big, strong cow that passes on her performance EPD’s easily to Jessica. Great length of body, disposition and eye appeal all rolled into one package. What more could you want in your females! Jessica was shown this summer and placed third behind the Champion and Reserve Junior Females at CCYA. Bred for an early January calf to the calving ease bull

Originally when we implanted embryos we had no intentions on selling any of the pregnancies but we wanted to do something for the national sale that would captivate an audience, and without a doubt, a sexed female Trust x Lily pregnancy being carried by S.S.S Hennessy 1H is the one to do it with. Let’s start with the pregnancy mating, PZC LILY 5013ET, a two time Supreme Champion Female who’s phenotype and genotype are second to none. She has stamped her mark on the history of the Charolais breed and continues to produce big time selling bulls and competitive show ring females. The sire of this pregnancy, SVY Trust 6H, needs no introduction, selling for $123,000.00 Trust had big value to live up to. As his first calf crop hits the ground it shows Trust is knocking it out of the park in calf quality and that the buzz is REAL! The cow carrying the pregnancy is a power house registered two year old who calved out unassisted her first time. She is perfect uddered, great footed, sound as a cat, and heavy in her milking ability. She is a WR Wrangler W601 daughter out of an SVY Grizzly PLD 521C cow, after she calves this pregnancy breed her back and capitalize on her own quality and pedigree. What more could you want? Cutting edge genetics out of some of the breeds best, with a high quality momma cow carrying the load, a true 2 in 1 package with endless opportunities and ultra competitive upside.

What an opportunity to add WGD Ruger 8J to the SOS line up! 8J checks all the boxes: eye appeal, length, Homo Polled, great cow family, and even better breeders. This LT Ransom son was our pick of all that sold this spring and he will be used extensively in our small herd, and every cow we are flushing this year. Very limited semen will EVER sell on this herd bull, so if you have that special cow you are looking to flush here is your chance. We believe this investment will pay huge dividends down the road,

semen from Ruger will be an easy decision at the Royal.

We were very excited to when we had the chance to purchase the Canadian Semen Rights on the exciting outcross Powermax. His dam is as good a Charolais cow as you can find with ample power and an awesome udder. With his first calf crop in Canada he is stamping them with that proud look, hair, muscle shape, and superior feet that drew him to us in the first place. Powermax’s offspring will be the feature group of our March bull sale and are sure to turn heads. Sons were well received at Lindskov-Thiel’s record sale with a sale feature bringing $32,000 to Guston Ranch, Colorado. This will be your only opportunity to acquire semen on this unique herd bull for the 2023 breeding season. Offered by Balamore Farm Ltd.
