SIGHT UNSEEN PROGRAM
We would love to have you join us for our annual Bull Sale at the ranch. If you can not, this program has worked well for many busy cattlemen unable to make it to our sale. With families and a bunch of cows ourselves, we realize that with hockey, 4-H, chores, frozen water bowls, cows calving and everything else it is sometimes hard to be everywhere you want to be on certain days. Each and every year we sell more bulls through this program from clean across the country to next door neighbors. The prog ram is simple. Call us in advance (preferably a week or so) before the sale to discuss your cowherd, breeding objectives and herd bull requirements. From what we gather from talking to you about your program, we can fit you with a herdsire or herd sires with in your price ranges and suited to your needs without you leaving home. The bulls will be personally hand picked by Lee, Dave or Jim. We are a family run operation so the same person helping you pick your bull is the same person who calves, breeds, feeds and lives with these herd bull prospects and their mothers year around. We know our cowherd very well and the genetics strength of each bull on offer. Just the same as you know yours. Almost 50 years in the bull business we have gained a level of trust and integrity with our customers and have had repeat customers buy their bulls here for years and not been to a sale yet. We will get you the best bull for your program as reasonably priced as we can - you have our word on that.

Here are a few details about our operation and why we think an MRL herd sire may work for you.
* Over 50 years in the bull business. Over 50 years we have been committed to and stuck to producing Simmental seed stock which will work well under your commercial conditions. Easy fleshing, structurally sound beef cattle have always been #1 at MRL. Over 50 years of stacking the most elite cow families that rise to the top on production merit under ranch conditions.
*Customer Care “Large enough to serve you - Small enough to know you” (borrowed this from another outfit that sells alot of bulls and its the absolute truth). Any given day of the year there are over 300 bulls at the ranch. Herdbulls, spare bulls, sale bulls and bulls being developed. Rest assured if you run into trouble we will have you covered. Free delivery to central points across Western Canada and the Northern States. Cost sharing to the East and Southern States. For those busy cattlemen unable to make it sale day, we offer a sight unseen buyers program and pre- selection program, as well as several sale consultants to leave an order with and internet bidding with both DLMS and DV Acution.
*Quality Not Quantity. Our operation consists of over 700 working females. The 180 bulls on offer have been selected from 350 bull calves, therefore we can be very strict when selecting our offering. The toughest thing about our bull sale will be making up the sale order. Pens full of uniform 1⁄2 and 3⁄4 brothers.
* Bull Development. These bulls have been developed on a high roughage TOTAL TMR ration with consultation from Bulls Eye Feeds. Our objective is to offer you sound breeding bulls ready to go to work and stay working for years to come. “Stuffing” is for the “Christmas Turkey” not “breeding bulls”. All bulls are semen tested prior to the sale so there are no surprises after you buy your herd bull(s).

Terms - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. We reserve the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, we reserve full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.
Disputes - Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decisionin such matter is final.
Purchaser’s Risk - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. We strongly recommend the purchaser insure their purchase(s) at time of purchase.
Announcements - Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
Certificate of Registry - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the Canadian Simmental Association.Canadian Angus Association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

Breeder’s Guarantee - As per the Canadian Simmental Association/Canadian Angus Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. In th event of a dispute, the sellers are responsible only to the extent of the purchase price of the said animal. We assume no liability, legal or otherwise, to make any further compensation to buyers. All bulls are vet inspected and sell with a breeding guarantee.
Health - All bulls are under the total MRL Herd Health Program. All received Exress 5 Program, Dextomax, Vitamin and all will carry a satisfactory semen evaluation. MRL will look after health tests for cattle purchased by U.S. customers.
Accidents - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management or MRL assume any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise in the event of accidents or loss of property.
Rights & Obligations - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale constitutes a separate transaction and the right and obligations of the two parties connected by the terms and conditions of this sale. Pictures - By attending this sale you are hereby granting permission for your photograph to be published by MRL in their catalogue and for advertising purposes only.
Our red pen of Simmental bulls has certainly drawn some attention the past couple of years. Well, the group for 2026 has once again already created a buzz. This pen once again offers some unique breeding pieces and consistency even deeper than we have ever had. Exciting new outcross sire group by the $210,000 Tangle Flags sire which is exclusive to only a handful of programs have garnered some attention early on this winter from visitors. The Dewalt sire group last year were maybe the most popular sire group we have ever offered in 50+ years. Well, if you like last year’s group, wait until you see the bunch of blaze faced bulls by Dewalt for 2026! A must-see group that just add so much value in so many ways to your breeding program. The Coming 2’s division of our bull sale continues to grow in both numbers and quality. We are now calving over 350 cows in our spring calving group in May which includes many elite cow families. Our black Angus offering for 2026 is the largest to date in both numbers and quality. The main reason being the acquisition of the U2Q Big Energy herdbull. As I have said, he was just one of those bulls when I found him you just need to own. One of the most impressive Angus bulls we have laid eyes on and out of one of the great donor cows in the breed.
