Welcome to the 2nd Annual Leading Edge Speckle Park Bull and Female Sale, April 18th at Saskatoon Livestock Sales located on Highway 14, west of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Five operations make up this group of progressive breeders, they offer a top lineup of bulls and a select group of females. The two-year-olds will cover more cows, bigger cows and add a dimension of uniformity to the calves at weaning. The yearling bulls are fresh, new and will be great to run with a package of heifers. The heifer pen is always exciting… remember you can never have too many elite females in this breed.

The strength of the Speckle Park breed is growing by leaps and bounds! As a beef breed, Specks have the highest return on investment. The specialized feeder sales have grown in numbers and volume and those commercial producers who had the foresight… are now enjoying the dividends. Speckle Park supplies the best carcass to the table, they are excellent converters of forage and protein and most importantly, they have calving ease.

Congratulations to Rob and Janice of INC Cattle Co. This couple have a lot on their plate, but if you want to get something done, give it to someone who is busy.

They are movers and shakers in the Speckle Park breed. They exhibited the National Reserve Champion Female and captured the coveted Premier Breeder Award at Agribition.

We have been in the business of raising commercial cattle for a long time and for many that know us you are probably surprised to see us in the purebred business... well it all started when I was in the meat business and we were selling meat to a wholesaler in Montreal and ended up with a load of Speckle Parks. The buyers and chefs in Montreal were so impressed with the quality of the meat and uniformity of the carcasses that I started to do our own taste tests and we have never looked back! The cattle, though on our operation, have to perform just like our commercial cattle, they get no special treatment and they can get the job done. This bull’s mama is our best cow.

She is thick, maternal, and a dream to handle but most importantly a consistently great producer. His sire Pine Valley Argo by Notta Frontline 303, was a large framed bull that consistently sired fertile females with great udders and calving ease. We used 8F on our own heifers last year and he got the job done, with all of them bred within the first cycle. One to watch!!

Pedigree Estimates: Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

HEALTH: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

DELIVERY: Every assistance will be given in getting your purchases home. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
