It seems like the 13th sale was yesterday and here we are at 14 already. With the driest year I can remember I think the cattle proved who could hack it and who couldn’t in the dry pastures.We were lucky to be able to graze second growth canola at least to help.That being said we will board bulls at zero charge until needed to help with any feed concerns.We are proud of the bulls we have raised as our customers generally say they age phenominaly and the longevity is to be admired.Our biggest base are return customers and great have support from neighbors and friends.With so many choices we do appreciate each decision to have faith in our program old and new.Thank you again to our great sale partners and sales group.Feel free to come tour anytime and or see the bulls a few days before the sale at SLS. Pretty well every Farm/Ranch from late July had some sort of major struggles. Whether it was hauling water because the dugouts went dry in late July, to having to buy feed for the cattle or doing some culling to get through the winter, old mother nature was definitely testing us.

This year we have a few new herd sires represented, Merit Sting 7047E, Easton Dale Sting 64’19, Young Dale Goal Line 57G, Baldridge 38 special, HA Cowboy up 5405 and Valley Blossom Blaster, as well with some herd sires from the past; including Peak Dot Tour of Duty20C and Peak Dot Herdbook 301F. The bull calves were weaned at the start of October with some nice weights. Since then, the bulls have been fed green-feed, oat bales and 15lbs of a pellet ration per day. Due to the drought, there was no silage available for these guys. No matter what type of bull you are looking for there will be one here to suit your needs. There is a great selection of calving ease bulls, power bulls and damn-good all round bulls for sale on March 26th, 2022.

Calves here weaned off the cow lighter but we managed to get the cows through the summer and round up enough feed to get them through the winter.

November came and our show at Agribition brightened our spirits quiet a bit. MVY Backdraft 35J was selected Presidents Classic Charolais Champion and then a few days later was judged by over 55 of our fellow breeders to be the $50,000. Players Club Champion Bull. What made it even more special for us was him being sired by our own home raised genetics.

Our 2022 line up of bulls are a very good group for you to select from. They are available anytime for viewing at the farm and we would love to have you stop in to check them out. Bulls will be videoed and they will be posted mid march for viewing also.

From The Desk At T Bar...

Welcome to the fourteenth Annual Impact Angus and Charolais Bull Sale, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Saskatoon Livestock Sales, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This annual event has given breeders and ranchers alike an opportunity to select Charolais, Red and Black Angus all in one day to round out their herd bull requirements. The breeds represented here are most popular in the pasture, in the feedlot and in the packing house offering calving and maternal values from the Angus and performance and pounds at weaning from the Charolais.

The Charolais division is represented by the McAvoy family. Their lineup is headlined by sons of SVY Bojangles and SVY Fortress. Many of us remember the success of the McAvoy program at the Fiftieth Agribition last fall where they captured Champion Charolais Bull in the President’s Classic event and also were voted Champion Players Club Futurity Bull Calf.

The Angus component to Impact is provided by Triple L Angus, Randy, Kim and family, with Red and Black bulls and Jason and Shauna, J&S Cattle with Black yearling bulls. These Angus bulls offer calving ease, hair and are strong in maternal traits. As we stock our ebbing National cow herd, replacement females shall become dear to acquire and are valuable assets.

Example: A bull who will add 30 lbs. to the weaning weight of each of his calves, mated to 25 cows per year for 4 years, and you sell his calves for $1.00 per pound. 30 lbs x 25 cows= 750 x 4 years = 3000 x $1.00/lbs. = $3,000.00 This bull is worth $3,000.00 more than the average bull who will keep your weaning weights the same. Take this formula and put your own figures in and see what you can afford to pay. This equation does not take into consideration the increase in value due to calving ease, higher quality replacement heifers, yearling growth, feedlot gain and improved carcass quality.

Crazy Train was an embryo calf out of Ruger and elite Dam Sassy Syringa. We kept a half share in him selling the other half to J BAR D. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes the auctioneer’s decision will be final.

Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association or Canadian Charolais Association, unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Pedigree Estimates Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. the sellers, facility owner, auctioneer and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither

does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken must be between the buyer and seller.
