A Word from Bill, Connor, Ted, Family and Crew...

Welcome to everyone to our 50th annual “Barn Burnin’ Bull Sale” from all of us at Hill 70 Quantock Ranch. Cattle are our only business and there is a reason for 50 bull sales. It’s called quality cattle, service and warranty that is the best in the business.

Going through the fall and into winter is always exciting around here as we wean a new set of calves and bring yearling bulls off grass and put them on feed. This many years of constant culling and insistence to detail really shows itself in this set of bulls for our 50th annual.

We have had an interesting but good year here at the ranch. Cold winter, great spring for calving, very dry and then it turned to no end of rain. Lots of grass, feed, fat cows, heavy calves and some black hay along the way. Through 50 years of bull sales, agriculture and weather are always changing.

We have never seen two years the same! The real only constant is change itself.

Prices for calves and yearlings are up a bit from last year and especially on groups of quality cattle. Not as many cull cows on the market and now markets opening back up will bode well for the cattle industry. Feed prices have come back in line, coupled with an abundance of feed grains and fodder will also help out the industry.

Approaching our 50th Annual Bull Sale we always have to take time to look back and applaud our customers, because ours is a customer based business. We are so grateful and proud to see families that have purchased bulls since the 1st Feature bull sale in 1971. Through the years families and corporations have purchased from a few to Hundreds of Bulls. Your business and loyalty is very much appreciated. We have never forgotten a few very basic principles “Herd Bull Quality at Range Bull Prices” and “Customer Service” have never become old fashioned on this outfit.

More Value Than Ever On Yearlings, On Twos We have established a program to develop these young bulls here at Hill 70 Quantock to better serve our customers. We will keep the bulls at home after the sale and feed them until early April on a total mixed ration to gain about 2-1/2 lbs./day. We will then independently semen test them and deliver them to central points throughout Western Canada. Delivery will be from about early April to early May. The price for this service is $100 for yearlings and $130 for Twos payable at sale time. It’s a real value as it includes 75 days board, independent semen test, and central point delivery.

Insurance will be on site to insure all bull purchases.

Folks... if you bought bulls in the 2018 or 2019 It must be a Hill 70 Quantock Ranch good way to go....
