Welcome
We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year, and say good bye to what will be known as the year of unknowns. In a time when so much is so unpredictable how do you make plans for the future? We have decided to stay the course, go with what we know, what is proven. Be resilient, be patient, and look ahead and anticipate a great 2021. We continue to raise our children on the farm and every year we get to watch our kids evolve, grow, and adapt to this ever changing world. It amazes me the resiliency of children, from wearing a mask to school, to having to miss sports and club events, to having to social distance from friends they dearly miss. But they don’t complain, they adapt and move forward while maintaining a positive attitude. I believe each and every one of us could learn from these kids. At our place Ella has found a love for horses and has purchased her first horse which she enjoys riding and spending time with. Wyatt is nearly 6 now, he enjoys the freedom of being on the farm where he can adventure, from playing on the bales, to halter breaking fall fair calves. He’s decided to be an entrepreneur, tells me he wants to raise 6 butcher pigs this summer. Then there’s Toby, he may be young but he don’t miss a single chore time, he’s as dedicated 3 year old as you will find. This year we once again have a bull pen with 21 yearling bulls and 2 two year olds. The Simmental bull pen is small with only 3 bulls, but big in quality. The Angus division provides us with as much excitement as we’ve ever had. There are calving ease bulls and there are power bulls! 100% of our bulls are for sale by private treaty with nothing held back. We have retained an interest in a couple bulls as we strongly believe in our breeding program and would like to incorporate these genetics back into our program while still offering every bull to our customers. We believe by selling these bulls off the farm we can enhance your bull buying experience, in a no pressure setting were you can come by anytime, any day and tour the bull pen. While you are here we can have coffee and discuss what you are looking for in a bull, and then help you select the bulls that best match your needs. Furthermore we have put together a cow herd we are extremely proud of, and we believe you should have a chance to see the mother of a bull before you purchase that bull, an advantage you don’t often get in a bull sale setting. With our private treaty the prices are listed in this catalog and you can select a bull within your budget. Also when you purchase bulls from a sale, the breeder almost always requires you to buy insurance on your purchase. This typically will add 10-15% to your purchase. As always our warranty and guarantee program on our bulls is that you do not need to insure your purchase for the time it is left with us. We will guarantee your purchase sound, semen tested, kept and delivered when you are ready for them, at no charge. In the unfortunate case that a bull is injured or doesn’t semen test before we deliver, there are a couple options for you. A) You can select another bull to replace that bull or B) we will lend you an aged herd bull to breed your cows this year as well as return your deposit so that you may purchase a replacement bull the following year. We once again were looking forward to hosting our Open House to showcase our bullpen and to gather fellow cattleman for a day of fellowship and laughs. However due to Covid restrictions we are not able to have a large gathering on a set day. But we would like to invite you to come out any day to tour through the bull pen and cow herd. New this year we will have videos completed and available on each individual bull and they can be viewed on buyagro.com. We can be reached anytime at (306) 441-7984, to discuss your bull buying needs.

The Angus division is headlined by our proven calving ease OAV Motown 11B and the first calf crop off of the highly anticipated Merit Stone Cold 8151 who we partnered with Double F Cattle to purchase as the $27,000 sale feature of the Merit bull sale. Stone Cold did everything and more than we could have hoped for in his first calf crop, from awesome heifer calves to thick, hairy, deep, big volume, powerful bull calves. The Motown sire shows his longevity as he continues to advance our herd, with daughters that are ideal frame size, and easy fleshing. The kind of bull that you build a strong maternal cowherd around.
