It seems like not that long ago I was writing this same welcome for last year’s catalogue. This past year has come and gone with many
challenges both in agriculture but also in everyday life for all. From drought to Covid, but here we are, a new year, with new beginnings. At our place little has changed, the kids continue to grow and enjoy the freedom that comes with being on the farm. For us we had to make the hard choice of selling some commercial pairs last summer, as well as culling hard in the fall. We are down on cow numbers but kept the majority of our heifer calves, this has allowed us to reduce the average age of our cow herd, not have to purchase large amounts of feed, and to genetically advance our herd rapidly with a large amount of heifers to breed this spring.
This year we have 16 yearling bulls to offer, as well as select aged herd bulls. The Simmental bull pen is down once again with only 1 bull.
However our replacement heifer pen is full of Simmental heifers. The Angus bulls are extremely consistent from top to bottom, no doubt the best group we have raised. 100% of our bulls are for sale by private treaty with nothing held back. We believe by selling these bulls off the farm we can enhance your bull buying experience, in a no nonsense, no pressure setting where you can come by anytime and tour the bull pen. We can discuss what you are looking for in a bull, and help you select the bulls that best match your needs.
With our private treaty the prices are listed in this catalogue and you can select a bull within your budget. As always our warranty and
guarantee program on our bulls is that you do not need to insure your purchase for the time it is left with us. We will guarantee your purchase sound, semen tested, delivered when you are ready for them, at no charge. In the unfortunate case that a bull is injured or doesn’t semen test before we deliver, there are a couple options for you. A) You can select another bull to replace that bull or B) we will lend you an aged herd bull to breed your cows this year as well as return your deposit so that you may purchase a replacement bull the following year.

Two years ago we first seen Maximus as a calf at Lloydminster fall show, we immediately inquired about semen sales as we felt he exemplified what we had been looking for. Admired for his dimension, stoutness, length of body, and his soundness for such a heavy muscled individual. Maximus has developed into a truly great breeding piece for Little Willow Creek & Miller Wilson. Maximus went to another level this fall being undefeated in the show ring, capturing Supreme Champion Bull over all Breeds at both Edmonton Farm Fair and Canadian Western Agribition. We have 3 sons to offer as well as 5 daughters at the top of our replacement heifer pen. His calves are consistently short gestation, have true Angus character with a small head. He was also the lead bull for Lukas Frey in his Champion Angus pen of 3 bulls at Canadian Western Agribition. We patiently awaited the LK Angus bull sale where we were able to purchase him as lead off bull for over $15000. Rippin is sired by the highly maternal U2 Temptation and out of a Net Worth female. Rippin 32J is heifer’s first calf who started out at 77 lbs. He’s a bull that is smooth made, fine boned, and nice headed. His mother is another good Motown daughter that stems back to the same cow family as the 16J bull. Definitely a sleep easy heifer bull.

Stone Cold was a sale feature at the 2019 Merit Bull sale, when the hammer fell at $27000 we were on the winning side, partnering with Double F Cattle. Stone Cold was admired for his flawless dam, his sire’s consistency, his moderate frame, heavy muscle, easy fleshing, and strong structure all in an eye appealing package. Another Stone Cold x Bride combination. He carries a great balance of performance and type. Don’t be fooled by his weaning weight as he is born late February and is 50 days younger than the older end of the bulls. This bull is moderate, thick, and soggy made. This bull is easy to find and notice when touring the bull pen.
Our only Simmental bull in the pen this year is the result of a purchase last fall of a bred heifer from the Canadian Classic Simmental consignment sale. That female did an outstanding job on her first calf weaning him at 952 lbs. This bull is colored right, has lots of hair and is short marked with any white.
