“I have heard time and time again in the purebred industry that you have to sell the good ones; however, I never thought it would be this difficult. Last year we were fortunate enough to raise and exhibit the Reserve Champion Senior Yearling Heifer at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. As luck would have it, during an incredibly bad snow storm with closed roads she calved successfully and yielded a Consensus heifer calf. This heifer calf is a footprint of her mom as a calf. I can’t believe I am selling this heifer! Her dam 8W has been our show cow for the last few years. She is deep and thick with a great udder. She placed first as a yearling and a two year old at the Royal and last year was Reserve Champion Female at Orangeville Fair. This is the first of her offspring we have offered for sale. Blackbird 5B is sired by Connealy Consensus, known for siring many show champions. This heifer looks just like her momma and should develop into a top brood cow. We are showing 5B and reserve show rights until after the Royal Winter Fair.
