 Welcome to our annual bull sale. We are very excited with this year’s sale offering with a strong group of bulls that we feel should work well in the industry today. Our emphasis is on profit driven traits-fertility, fleshing ability, maternal ability and the ability to raise heavy calves that will top markets.

Welcome to the Four Bar X Ranch and Martens Cattle Co. Spring Bull Sale. This event represents one of the great buying opportunities for ranchers and breeders alike to select from a powerful offering of Angus and Charolais sires.

As we are well aware, these two breeds complement each other and everyone knows the value of “silver” stockers. The resulting offspring of the Angus and Charolais breed have been market leaders throughout the past decade. Great Angus maternal values, coupled with ease of calving but not sacrificing performance is common place with ranchers while Charolais performance at weaning and in the feed yard is taken for granted.

Sylvan and his family have been raising quality Charolais bulls for over three decades... their success is proven by the repeat customer base who have profited using Martens Cattle Co. sires. Throughout the years, we have had the privilege of marketing many Charolais, for breeders whose herd sire carries the MXS prefix. The Martens program has been developed using cowboy “basics”... longevity, fertility, disposition, ease of calving and performance. This powerful offering of Charolais bulls are designed to be suitable and add value to any type of program, whether you are a cow/calf producer or a purebred breeder!  Kevin and his family have a great group of Black Angus bulls... to truly appreciate their genetic power, you must see the cow herd... cows with powerful body depth, deep barreled, with awesome udders and milk flow but most importantly, very sound footed. The Four Bar X Ranch program is based on the selection of herd sires that are high performance power bulls yet offer ease of calving. As we restock North America with females, Angus influenced mothers will have added value and demand. The Anderson bulls are rugged, uniform and most importantly....highly maternal!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Each animal sells to the highest bigger and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASES If you are unable to attend the sale give any one of the contributors a call. You know what you want in your breeding animals, we know the best potential of the bulls and will be able to satisfy your specific needs.

INHERD USE

We reserve the right to collect any bull for inherd use only at the buyer’s convenience.

FREE DELIVERY

within 200 kms at sellers’ convenience. All bulls returning back to the farm must be insured. Insurance will be available from clerk’s desk.

  Please come early to grab a coffee and donut while you view the bulls. Before the sale you are invited to join the Andersons and Martens for beef-on-abun and refreshments.

Five year old 15.1 hh has been used in community pasture for the last two years. This gelding is a nice ranch horse that really tracks cattle, has been through bush, mud, creeks, moving cattle, and docturing cattle. Have ran a few steers team roping on the heel side, moves to cattle nice. Should be a horse that could work for a lot of people. His full brother is a top end rope horse in southern Alberta.
