Welcome Welcome to our 2018 Bull sale, this being our 12th annual sale. We are excited about our sale offering this year with a good selection of calving ease to performance bulls for your production needs. With the good standby bloodlines of our Alaskans, the infusion of the Foundations and Upwards makes it a complete lineup. We would like to thank the Martens for the years we were together in the bull sale and wish them well in their production changes. We are pleased to be working with the Tuck family to bring you a bigger offering of quality Black Angus bulls.

FROM THE DESK AT T BAR... Welcome to Anderson’s Four Bar X/CMT Farms Annual Spring Bull Sale. Held on the day after April Fool’s Day, it is not in Ottawa but rather in the heart of cattle country at the Spiritwood Stockyards. On this day, there will be no fooling around as these two dedicated outfits present a powerful, uniform set of ranch bulls, ready to work for you. For Kevin, Becky and Family, this year marks their 12th anniversary. In the years prior, they were teamed with Sylvan Martens, Martens Cattle Co. who added his Charolais bulls into the mix… but now with his cows sold to an Alberta breeder, Chad and Michelle Tuck, CMT Farms have joined this successful event. Many of you know Kevin but for those who do not, he is a pasture manager in addition to running the large Four Bar X herd. He knows good bulls and horses… his experience in the pasture is a definite asset to his breeding program. The Four Bar X cow herd is deep-bodied, broody, good uddered and most importantly, sound of foot and limb. Kevin understands what a week of wet weather can do to fertility and longevity for a cow or bull in a swamp pasture; therefore, soundness is the first consideration. Like their mothers, the bulls are deep and rugged with lots of hair and testicle. CMT Farms adds the top of their program… genetics that are fresh, new and in many cases, a total outcross to all programs. In addition to a high level of performance, these bulls carry maternal values that will make you want to retain all daughters for replacements. Chad is good young cowman who knows what the customer requires. The beef cattle industry is rewarding and Brian Jacobson (owner of Spiritwood Stockyards) will tell you that quality steer calves are sired by quality sires topping the market. Don’t get caught short of bull power this summer, because an open cow… is an expensive cow. Feel free to stop by the farms prior the sale, preview the bulls and see their sires and mothers. Don’t hesitate to give Kevin or Chad a call, discuss their offering and see what bulls will fit your program. If we, at T Bar C, may be of any assistance, prior to or sale day, do not hesitate to give myself or any of our professional team a call, as we can help you with your needs. Chris Poley

We are offering another good ranch horse again this year. Ringo is 15.1 HH and has been used in the community pasture for the past three years. He has been through bush, mud, water and creeks, moving and doctoring cattle. We ran a few steers team roping with him on the heel side. He has been to brandings and has been used for calving season the last two years. We also brought in the AI cows on him every day last spring. Ringo is a nice all around horse that should fit a lot of people.
