New this year we are excited to have JJL Livestock join us as a sale partner. They have an outstanding cow herd consisting of primarily Red Angus cattle. Jarret, Jenna, Ava, and Cade have on offer 3 exceptional heifer calves that will certainly command some attention on sale day.

The bred heifer portion of our sale comes straight from the heart of our programs. They come to you carrying exciting AI services as well as matings to our newest walking bulls that offer new, outcross, breed leading genetics from some of the most reputable breeders in the land. The heifer calf offering this year is deep in quality, they are females that will certainly be highly competitive at many levels in the show ring, as well as females that will go on to be great cows once in production. Once again, we are extremely excited to team up with our good friends at Hollinger Land and Cattle and JJL Livestock to bring you an exciting set of Angus females.

I feel the sale offering is extremely deep in quality from both us as well as the Hollinger’s. The females in the sale, are a result of many well thought out decisions made over many years.

The bred heifers in the sale this year are the large majority of the group. We are retaining the heifers we purchased last year and a few ET heifers that have to stay home. The offering is deep in quality and we stand behind every heifer on offer.

Once again, this year’s offering features a solid group of Alcatraz daughters. We also feature daughters of Brooking Lexington and J Square S Magnum and True North. All of the heifers were time AI’d to Sitz Resilient. Resilient worked very well for us and we decided to use him again for our first calf heifers. The walking bulls who covered these heifers are two outstanding individuals. RRAR Mindbender was the lead off bull selected from Brian McCarthy a couple years ago and the calves on the ground are still very impressive. J Square S Black Gold 900G has proven himself as a great breeding piece for ourselves as well as Glasman Farms Ltd. I would like to thank you for taking the time to view our cattle in the catalog. Here’s one that’s got it all! Big bodied, long fronted, and stout made. We think a lot of this one. Her dam was selected by Roger out of the great Poplar Meadows production sale a couple years back.

She was shown very successfully as a bred heifer and has since become a great momma cow in production. Her first daughter sold to Madsen Angus through this very sale.

Thanks to Chance Jackson and Garrett Liebriecht for clipping all the heifers this year and last year. Garrett didn’t realize that this heifer was a maternal sister to their ELLEN that has been knocking it out of the park at Merit Cattle Co. I don’t think we have ever had a heifer this soft on the halter that genuinely loves people and attention the way she does. She would make the best show heifer for a junior member that needs a quiet one to gain confidence and she will show very well! The Mati cow family has slowly been taking over here and for good reason.
