Welcome to the 2018 edition of the EKW Red Angus Bull Catalogue. Within its pages you will find excellent genetics that have been proven in the real world. These cattle experienced the driest year in memory, so much so that most of the cows came home September 6 because their water source had run dry. In fact, the rain gauge didn’t record three inches in the growing season. These cattle came through in remarkable conditions. Sure the weaning weights are off from other years but that is to be expected. These bulls have been on a very modest grow ration and have averaged 3.26 lbs. ADG from the day they were weaned to February 17, 2017.

The bulls have been priced to give excellent value to you, the buyer. There are several calving ease options, as well as some muscular, high performance bulls. All of these bulls are bred to produce high quality females with maternal ability, milking ability and fertility.

Here at EKW Red Angus, we strive to produce bulls that will accomplish more with less. The cow herd is run on forage only. I’ll guarantee you the cows that can’t handle this environment find a way out. Further, the bulls are fed a modest growing ration, aiming at about 2.75 lbs. daily gain to ensure the proper development and longevity of the bulls. The fact that this entire pen of bulls gained an average of 3.26 lbs. per day on a ration designed for 2.75 lbs. indicates efficiency in the real world.

The bulls are bred from excellent genetics. Nature let the cream rise to the top. They have then been developed on a ration to ensure proper development and growth for health and longevity. You will find excellent calving ease, heifer bulls and some power and performance bulls. The aim, ultimately, is happy, satisfied, profitable customers.

Bull Guarantee

$1,500 Deposit per bull when you select your new bull or bulls.

Balance due when delivered or picked up.

EKW Red Angus guarantees to sell you a bull in good health that has the ability to settle cows, is sound on his feet and will pass a semen test.

Bulls will be semen tested in April prior to delivery. In case of breeding incapability, we will replace the bull with a bull of equal value. In no event does this guarantee exceed the purchase price of the bull. We take full responsibility for the bulls until the bulls are in your care, i.e.; they are loaded on your trailer or arrive at your farm.

OR PAYMENT IN FULL when selecting your new bull or bulls.

Repeat Customer Incentive If you have purchased a bull from EKW Red Angus in the past three years, you qualify for a $100 discount, per bull.

This guarantee does not cover mismanagement, injury or death after he is in his new owner’s care.

Volume Buyer Incentive

However, should an accident happen, we will do our best to get your cows bred with one of our EKW Red Angus Bulls.

Buy two, three or four bulls and receive $100.00 off per bull. Buy five bulls or more and receive a 10% discount on your total price.

Should you have a problem, please call me first. I will rectify the problem.

Boarding All bulls can be boarded free until May 31, 2018. All bulls can be boarded beyond May 31, 2018 for a $100 charge, (per bull) which will include regular delivery.

Delivery or Pick Up 1. All bulls sold in Saskatchewan, delivered free of charge. All bull purchases totaling $5000 or more will be delivered free of charge in Alberta or Manitoba as well. Bulls to be delivered by May 31, 2018.

2. Bulls may stay longer than May 31, 2018; a $100 charge will be added to these bulls which will include delivery.

Calving Ease Score We evaluate each prospective herd bull for calving ease, determined by bone size, BW, CE, EPD and profile. **** Recommended for use on moderate framed, first calf heifers.
