Enright Farms & Guests "Investing in the Future III" Angus Sale

Page 1

On behalf of the entire Investing in the Future III Sale group, we would like to invite you to join us on October 14th for the Investing in the Future III Sale. With another year gone, we get set to host our fifth production sale and the third Investing in the Future III Sale. This year will be the first year we will be offering strictly Angus genetics. Hard to believe only eight years ago we hosted our first production sale at Carsons sale facility in Listowel, ON, a sale that was comprised of strictly Limousin genetics. Although over the past few years we have centered our focus on the Angus industry, we are still quite involved with the Limousin. We continue to A.I to breed leading bulls as well as some ET work. We will continue to provide our Limousin customers with the quality and service they demand. Once again we have joined forces with some of the breeds most enthusiastic, and top Angus producers in North America. We welcome back the consignors from last year, Wilgor Farms, Hawthorne Farms, Bellstar Angus, Sunset Angus, Xcel Livestock and Timber Trail Angus. We also extend a warm welcome to two new Investing in the Future Sale consignors. Bill and Sylvia Jackson of Tullamore Farms who have been breeding Angus cattle for over 75 years, and continue to produce tremendous seedstock including numerous show winners, herd sires, and donor cows. The Tullamore prefix can be found all throughout North America. Peter and Andy Vos, of Vos Vegas Farms are relatively new in the Angus breed. Last year they purchased the top selling female in the Investing in the Future II Sale. They are working hard to build their foundation herd through select purchases. With times such as these, with one of the worst droughts in over 60 years, we along with the consignors felt we really needed to dig deep and assemble a group of Angus cattle that would encourage those who too are going through tough times to come out and potentially purchase an animal. While you look through the catalogue, you will find genetics that are second to none. They are fresh and exciting genetics that you cannot get anywhere else. You will find genetics here that are backed by great cow families, proven donors that will continue to leave their mark on the breed for many years to come, fancy show heifers that will dominate the show ring, and herd bulls that will add the style and performance any good cattleman is looking for. On October 14th we welcome you to the Ottawa Valley to come evaluate some of the best and most unique combinations of Angus genetics that will sell in 2012. Enjoy some Valley hospitality, and be a part of an exciting celebration of Angus breed. If any of us at Enright Farms, the Investing in the Future III Sale group or any of the sales staff can be of any assistance, please feel free to give us a call. We would love to talk to you. Our customer’s satisfaction is our number one priority. Barry & Jane Enright

To complement the great cow families assembled, Enrights have sourced the great S A V Bullion, a herdsire that is destined to leave his mark not only as a pleasing phenotype of a bull but as a herdsire. What more could you ask for as a buyer – Kodiak influence, Consensus, Bismarck and the $200,000 EXAR Upshot. Wilgor Farms has assembled quite a set of cows as well. Most foundation cows started at the Canadian Highlight Sale. A supportive Wilgor Farms is bringing a special set of Angus Genetics to you sired by Soo Line Grizzly 9034, LLB Free Wheeler 268S, Kodiak and Wilgor Worldwide whose dam was the first Angus purchase by Gordon McGibbon. 3Z sired by S A V Providence. He has the ability to transmit exceptional length, muscle and style in his daughters.

Beauty is a female that is very clean in her lines and real correct in her overall makeup. We really like the growth curve this female is on. She has been shown successfully with her mother this year.

Her dam is a two year old Lookout daughter that we showed last year with great results. She stood second in class at the 2011 RAWF and was second at the RAWF 4-H winter fair classic.

Her mother is a powerfully built cow with a huge middle, large muzzle and a big square jaw typical of Widespread cows. This line is getting harder to find.

This female has the muscle, length and femininity and overall pizzazz to be a very interesing 4-H project for 2013. 29

Edelia is sired by New Frontier 095. These cattle are highly sought after for their milking ability and quality of their udders.

Queen is sired by the great WhiteStone Widespread. There have been many pages on what he has done over his career.

Edelia’s dam is an awesome Widespread cow with loads of performance. She is the best cow in Robbie Faubert’s herd. She was a 4-H project last year and we are retaining her 2012 calf.

Widespread’s daughters are still very sought after. Queen 120T has a beautiful temperament and has always left us with great calves.

Bred to S A V Networth 4200 sexed semen, May 10, 2012.

We flushed her in 2011 and she is bred back and raring to go. Bred to S A V Brilliance, April 21, 2012. Exposed to Xcel Esker Emblazon 101 Y, May 10, 2012. 31

We purchased 4Y’s mother Eastondale Iceberg 30’07 from the Common Denominator sale in 2008 and have never looked back. The mother produces deep sided, easy doing, attractive calves each year and Bellstar Iceburg 4Y is no exception. It is really difficult for us to part with 4Y as this lady has such a super disposition as do her two maternal siblings that are in our herd. She displays that nice hip and wide straight top line and moves on a good set of feet and legs. 4Y’s sire is Mohnen Dynamite 1365 which came from Peak Dot Farms. If the look of this heifer does not impress you, then her breeding to Dameron First Impression should. The combination makes for a Royal winner offspring for 2013. Like her mother, she will make an unbelievable brood cow. She is in our 2012 show string. Sells bred AI to Dameron First Impression on March 28th, 2012. Safe in calf.

Here is your sale feature Bellstar Bambi GLBF 2Z, a powerful January heifer calf out of our Bambi of Peak Dot 725T cow. Her pedigree is very impressive with names like Kodiak, TC Freedom and Predominant. 2Z’s sire is the HF Tiger 5T who does not need any introductions to Angus breeders because he has stamped out some great calves. Bellstar Bambi 2Z will certainly be one of your front pasture females and would make a nice 4-H heifer next year. She is in our 2012 show string.

SALE FEATURE Bellstar Stanley Cup is in a league of his own, and comes with a strong team of players in his background. His mother Bardolia of Peak Dot 519R is a prolific breeder and she has had several high selling calves and heifer in the Canadian Angus Highlight Sale. His grandmother Bardolia of Peak Dot 963H is one of Peak Dot’s top flush cows with a weaning ratio of 105. The sire HF Tiger 5T isn’t new to the breeders in Canada or the U.S.A. and has produced 5 exceptional calves for us this year. We have also used him again in our breeding program. Bellstar Stanley Cup’s looks and appearance is making a stamp for himself, with his length, thickness of his muscle and pounds. He is also very quiet and has an unbelievable disposition. He is in our show string this year and we have had many great comments about Stanley.

This Outlaw daughter has been one of the best milking cows we’ve ever owned on the farm. Cinder Elba Weans off heavy, big fleshy calves that continue to perform and excel in the pastures and in the showring. Her quiet temperament and ease of maintenance makes it real hard to put this good individual in the sale. I know the new owner will enjoy her just as much as we did. She is bred to Payday on March 30 2012 than exposed to Sunset Pinch Hitter 5Y.

You might want to stop and study this pedigree as it doesn’t come around everyday. Phyllis is a level hipped, sound and sleek fronted female that has stood out since birth. Her dam is phenotypically perfect and has entered our donor program. This little lady is destined for red ribbons and a donor pen so don’t let this brass ring swing by.
