the years that have purchased bulls and heifers. Your confidence and support is very much appreciated. Our year here was to say the least, challenging. Our spring was great for calving and seeding, but then it only rained an inch all summer. Our pastures held up well considering the lack of rain but our hay crop ended up half of normal (a bale an acre), causing us to be short 1000 bales. I went from plan A to plan B to plan C, and then settled for plan D as to how we were going to feed the cows. We baled all of our oats up as greenfeed, did corn silage for the first time instead of grazing it standing, and made a 1000 straw bales. This is the first time in eight years I haven’t been able to bale or corn graze due to the lack of feed. It is a lot of work and expensive feeding cows a TMR ration on a daily basis. So far this winter we haven’t received much snow and the temperature has been fairly mild.

We go pretty hard around here most days and could not get done what we have to do without the very dedicated crew that we have. A big thanks to Paige Wiles and Stephen McLaren.

The bull offering has never been better quality or more uniform from top to bottom. Come look and we know you will be impressed. We are incredibly proud of our bulls and hope you will take the time to go through the catalogue. We have some new sire groups represented in both the red and black groups. There are also some great red and black 1/2 cross and 3/4 cross bulls that will add that extra hybrid vigour to your calf crop. We again are selling a group of open commercial heifers. There is a group of 13 reds and a group of 18 blacks to choose from. I am truly committed to raising these two year old bulls because they are fully mature and won’t melt away. The customer gets true value for every dollar spent on a bull and also many years of service out of that bull purchase.

These coming two year old bulls will benefit you, the customer, the most. These bulls are bigger, stouter, and will breed circles around any yearling bull. Simply put, these bulls will breed more cows easily, stay in great shape during breeding and will take care of themselves if put in multi-bull pastures. All of these herd sire prospects are virgin bulls, which will be semen tested and guaranteed.

Here at Diamond M Ranch, we want to sell you a bull but more importantly we want to sell you the right bull. elcome to the 7th Annual Diamond M Bull Sale! Jordan and Amber have assembled a very solid and sturdy pen of all two-year-old Simmental bulls. Born on grass in April/May, slowly developed through two winters and grassed all summer really builds the longevity in these cattle. After viewing these bulls in mid December, we were surely impressed with the size and shape these bulls have developed.

Jordan has been relentless when it comes time to purchasing his herdbulls and you'll see the effect of that through many 1/2 and 3/4 brothers in the offering. There will not be many opportunities this spring to evaluate 60 some Simmental and Sim/Angus two-year-old bulls in one location. The effort of having a strictly two-year-old bull sale does not come easy; an extra pasture the following year and yard for wintering, take advantage of these reputable bulls from a true ranching oriented family. With over 500 mother cows, you can rest assure these cattle have been through a strict culling process and in the top 25% of the year’s calf crop!

Liabilities

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations.

Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer.

The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.

Bidding Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

Announcements All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

Breeder’s Guarantee Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

Rights and Obligations The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

Phone, Mail, Wire Bids Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale managers, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

We will assist in arranging transportation wherever possible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

Certificate of Registration

Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.

Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association, unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
