elcome to our second annual Sharing the Herd production sale. The cattle industry remains steady and strong which bodes well for the future for those of us that are cattle enthusiasts.

A sincere thank you to all bidders and buyers in last year’s ‘Share’ sale and of course our annual Best of Both Worlds Bull sale. Your support and confidence in our cattle and program is greatly appreciated.

I wish to extend a huge thank you to ALL of our hard working staff that ‘get things done’ at Double Bar D daily.

This year’s offering is smaller in number but I believe greater in depth. Starting with the bred Fleckvieh heifers which are the mainstay here. They are sired by notable older herdbulls and also some new exciting sires. Following the breds is a powerful set of Fleckvieh heifer calves with two outstanding Polled heifers followed by a pair of ET full siblings that both sell.

Starting the Purebred division is an exciting choice lot of Lawmaker full siblings out of Swan Lake Pepsi 97A, followed by some stellar “Big Red” females.

Don’t miss the exciting opportunity to invest in the three exclusive semen lots of the much anticipated Bankroll, Dagger and Law Maker bulls. These bulls are real breed improvers backed by incredible cow families.

The Red and Black females are deep and diverse in pedigree and phenotype. All of which are carrying the service of either Bankroll, Dagger or Law Maker. Among the bred purebreds is RLD 407D, the Olds Reserve Champion Female bred to Bankroll!!

elcome to the 2017 edition of Double Bar D Sharing the herd female sale. It is with great excitement that I sit and write a welcome for this year’s offering. We have seen the cattle market moving in an upward and steady direction for all producers, adding more value and prosperity from the ground up.

This year’s offering has been handpicked, only offering the very best on all fronts from the Double Bar D program. The genetics on offer are among some of the most sought after proven, as well as up and coming fresh and exciting in the Simmental business.

Once you study this year’s group you will notice many new not on the open market breeding combinations out of proven cow families, making this a real opportunity to add something fresh and exciting to your own programs.

The fullblood Fleckvieh heifers are as deep and stout as ever. Many of these females are out of time tested, proven cow families many of which can write their own chapter in Simmental history. Terms The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final.

Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

Double Bar D reserves the right to flush any of the females in the offering at the seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience.

Certificate of Registration Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Health All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Guarantee Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Simmental Association with regards to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.

Pregnancy Information All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service.
