How to Participate 1.Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS Farm Gate timed auction site www. farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots, or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions. 2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity. 2. Welcome to our annual Creek’s Edge Bull Sale catalogue!
As we prepare for our 2024 bull sale season, it has occurred to us that we have been selling bulls with the SKW tattoo for 20 years!! In those 20 years of raising bulls, there have been many ups, downs, successes and failures, but the one thing that stands out in our minds is the customers that have supported us and encouraged us f rom the beginning. So, to our customers that have supported us the last 20 years, we THANK YOU. You have motivated us to build a strong and consistent cow herd and select our herd sires, based 100% on your needs. We are proud to present to you a very powerful 2024 bull pen. We watched this group of bull calves develop on pasture and knew we had something special coming along. Then when we turned our attention back to this set of bulls and started picturing and building our catalogue, we were reminded about how exciting this group really is. This pen of bulls is a MUST SEE and is by far the best group of bulls we have ever raised. The quality and consistency of this group of bulls is impressive. These bulls exhibit all the qualities we strive for. They are muscular, sound, easy doing bulls who will cover cows and keep their condition through the season. We have a few new sire groups to bring to your attention! The KAYR Amigo sons will catch your eye. We are extremely impressed with how well Amigo has crossed with our cows.
His son’s stood out f rom birth as being extremely vigorous. These thick, hairy calves grew into power bulls! We have 19 Amigo sons in this catalogue, 3 of which were in our 2023 Agribition show string. WDZ Kingsman is a new AI sire in our program. We bred a large number of heifers to Kingsman and he didn’t disappoint. If you are looking for a calving ease bull, the Kingsman sons are a perfect f it. You will also f ind sons off of sires with the SKW tattoo. SKW 1H, SKW 104H and SKW 100J were all bulls that we raised here at Creek’s Edge. Their sons really drive home the type of cattle we want to raise. The DLMS Farmgate Timed Auction worked so well for us and our customers last year so we are going this route for our sale once again. The positive feed back we received f rom our customers about this sales format was exciting. If you are new to the Timed Auction format, it is extremely easy to use! There is a full list of instructions for the online auction in this catalogue and there is help available at all times if you encounter problems when using the timed auction system. DELIVERY: If you pick up your bull(s) by March 22 you will receive $100 off your purchase. We will deliver your purchase free of charge, up to 300km prior to May 1. On distances over 300km arrangements will be made to meet at a central point. If you are not able to take delivery prior to May 1, we will charge $5/day/bull and the bull(s) must be picked up before June 1. VACCINATIONS AND HERD HEALTH: We work closely with our veterinarian Dr. Victor Kernaleguen of Gateway Vet Services in Melfort. Our animals have been on a herd health program since birth and our cowherd is Express Verified. NUTRITION: We work with our herd nutritionist to ensure that our bulls are being fed a complete ration that will optimize growth and development of the bulls and ensure high performance and longevity. Our bulls are fed a TMR which includes – barley silage, alfalfa brome hay and a complete protein pellet with mineral package. SEMEN RIGHTS: Creek’s Edge Land & Cattle Ltd. reserves the right to collect semen on all the bulls sold in the sale. Semen collection will be at the seller’s expense and owner’s convenience.

Amigo was a great addition to our bull battery. We were looking for a bull with muscle, shape and hair and found all of that and more with him. There is an extremely strong set of bulls off of this new sire. They look very much like Amigo and possess the muscle and easy doability we really admire. They are also an extremely docile sire group and are a pleasure to be around.

We used Kingsman as an outcross, calving ease bull. We bred most of our heifers to him and really didn’t know what to think of them as they were so small. But boy did they come through summer. They have great hair, performance and disposition. They are great footed cattle also. These will be some of the few that will be available in Canada as there will be no more semen sold.

Sometimes we get these cows who consistently produce these top end bulls but never seem to a get a heifer from them, but finally we did off of the 3D cow in 2024. We have had Marti for a few seasons now. The things I really admire about him is the performance, muscle shape and great foot quality of his progeny. The daughters are becoming a strong presence in our herd and are producing top quality calves. We only have a few bulls off of him in this sale because he hurt himself in breeding season but recovered throughout the summer. Expect a lot of his influence again next year.

Outlander was a bull we showed as a yearling at Agribition. We ended up using him a bit last year ourselves. He’s a bull that has perfect feet and a great personality. He’s long and stout. He’s soft sided and made extremely well. I like the shoulder and length of neck in this bull. He’s a real attractive package who deserves to go into a top notch program.
