Welcome to our 3rd Annual Bull Sale. It is a lot more fun to be in the cattle business this year and the future looks even brighter. It was a pleasure to watch top quality bred heifers trade for good money last fall. What the future holds we do not know, but for now, let us enjoy this cattle market - it’s been a long time coming. I believe that we have the strongest and most uniform set of bulls we have ever sold on offer this year. The depth of quality and uniformity is is something we continue to strive for year after year. These bulls have not been pampered or pushed. They run on grass all summer and we start them on a pellet in early fall. We stand behind our cattle. If there is a problem please let us know. Our bulls are scrotal measured and semen tested by Dr. Tom Schmidt, one of the highest respected veterinarians in Saskatchewan. We have been blessed with 2 new grandsons this year, Cordell and Rawley. So Marilyn is one busy grandma! Soon we are going to have to find some good pony’s! We also welcome Rick and Ruby’s new daughter Jorja. It’s a pleasure to have RNRFlicek Angus bring us an excellent set of Black Angus bulls again this year. Past buyers have been very satisfied with their bull purchases. I would like to thank everyone who makes this sale possible including those who come, the neighbors that help and the Balog Auction crew. Randy is cooking his famous prime rib again so please be our guest for lunch on February 10, 2012. We will have a strong selection of bred and open commercial heifers from some of the best outfits in Northwest Saskatchewan on offer. Come for lunch, good comradely, and a great set of bulls. On February 10th, buy with confidence! - Cal

This is the bull we sold to Hillsvale Colony for $38,000. We bought 1/2 back and are extremely happy we did. His first daughters are everything we expected and more. They’re a uniform group of heifers with terrific udders, outstanding feet and bone, and all these calves have extraordinary vigor at birth. Many of the characteristics we were hoping the 9D cow would pass on have shown up in this bull. We feel his group of heifers will be the heart and soul of the future cow herd.

We purchased a 1/2 interest in this bull from Stuart and Cathy Crone. He has developed into an outstanding individual. He’s super thick, has great eye appeal, and a fantastic rear end. He bred 65 cows as a 2 year old, and gained all summer. He has great EPDs and many friends - all who have seen him.

It brings Randy and I great pleasure to offer these five bulls in the 3rd annual Moving on bull sale. I have had the privilege of building a strong herd of Hereford cows with the help of my parents. This start in the industry is as a result of having “my pick“of Dads heifer pen time, and time again. I will not soon forget that these cows carry a CR bar on their right rib and my family and I are very proud to own them. We sincerely thank Mom dad, and Carl and Dalynn for this opportunity. Since last year’s sale Randy and I have welcomed another man into our lives, Rawley James Randall was born June 22, 2011. Randy, Ramsay, and I are thrilled to have him in our lives and can’t wait for you to meet him. He is the strong silent type and most people say he looks like his dad.
Randy and I fully guarantee these bulls. They are extremely quiet and are very easy to work with. They have been semen tested, and are DNA tested diluter free (DLF).
We live nine miles south of Neilburg on the Winter Road and are the first farm at the south side of the road after the speed curve. Visitors are always wel come. Come for coffee check out the bulls, our females and our new log barn.
We look forward to see you soon!

Another year has come and gone and it has brought about some great things. In March we received our beautiful daughter Jorja Grace, who has become quite a little handful but thankfully she enjoys spending time at the farm. The weather has been great so our cows have been able to graze until January 1st. This year we were fortunate enough to be invited to a couple of sales where we successfully marketed some our females. Our 2 year old bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale. All the bulls will be wintered until April 1st when we will start to deliver them. All bulls returning to the farm must be insured.
This year we had Shane Castle from Castle Rock Marketing join our RNRF team. He has been a great help to the promotion of our growing herd and we thank him for his expertise. Please don’t hesitate to call him about the bulls or the rest of the herd.
Thank you to family and friends for all their help and to the Ramsay family for inviting us to their sale. Furthermore, a vast thank you to all our past bidders and buyers, we look forward to seeing you for lunch on February 10th. Please feel free to call or stop in anytime at the farm and take a look at the bulls the coffee is always on! - Rick, Ruby & Jorja
