elcome to the 2024 Edition of the Canadian Central Bull Sale on March 4th at the Beautiful Plains Ag Complex, Neepawa, Manitoba. This seedstock event in central Manitoba features two beef breeds that complement each other in the pasture, the feedyard and the processors… Angus and Simmental.

These four progressive breeding programs come together with a group of strong, rugged bulls for breeders and cow/calf producers alike… bred and designed to add value to a breeding program.

The Wilcox Simmental operation have consigned two feature blaze two-year-olds for your big pastures and a powerful group of red and black 2023 models… thick, muscled, high capacity and with optimum frame and calving data.

Twin Meadow Simmental offers the fullblood section to the sale… and feature a “True North” son… a blaze faced baldy carrying the type and kind we all need to produce and out of a proven, predictable dam.

Twin Oak Livestock are bringing five herd bull opportunities… very similar in type with extreme thickness. balance and style. Their offering is very uniform in type, with plenty of hair and testicles and come to you with solid numbers to make them more predictable.

The Ginter’s at BASKM Land & Cattle are the Angus section and what a set of two-year-olds! It is difficult to find a group of Angus twos with this uniformity, strength, and quality. Lucifer did very well at the shows on his own in the bull calf class and shown as a pair. Lucifer is a bull that catches your eye when you walk into the bull pen. Greetings from all of us at BASKM Land & Cattle. We are excited to be a part of the Canadian Central Bull Sale again this year.

We would like to thank all our bull buyers from previous years. It has been very humbling being selected to supplying elite genetics for your programs.

We feel there’s a bull for everyone with using this herd bull line up. The Brooking Right Answer 5024 bulls offer excellent calving-ease traits while still adding adequate muscle and shape. The SBF Prime Minister bulls offer shear performance and cow power. The Ellingson Three Rivers bulls are larger framed power houses, and the Brooking Firebrand bulls are just flat out good at every angle.

We think our bulls speak for themselves, we solely run a 2-year-old bull program. Our bulls are fed an oat silage/hay forage as well as an oat/barley-based ration as coming 2 year olds. Our bulls get adequate exercise to keep them hard and athletic.

ANGUS

We have a great selection of calving-ease and performance bulls again this year. Our program has relied heavily on a strong AI program using industry leading AI bulls, as well as building a strong maternal cow herd with the focus on longevity, tidy udders, structural correctness and easy keeping females. This year’s sire group highlights our AI sires: Brooking Firebrand 6068 and Ellingson Three Rivers. As well as some new genetics from our walking herd sires: Brooking Right Answer 5024, and SBF Prime Minister 9021.

Right Answer 1K has been a standout since birth. His first-time calving SAV Ten Speed mom did an amazing on him and weaning him off at over 700 lbs which is what we strive for. Our Ten Speed daughters have been exceptional producers with perfect udders. 1K is impressive by all angles. Right Answer 4K is another great calving ease herd sire candidate. He’s long bodied, stout hipped and wide topped. 4K comes out of a first-time calving JL Authority daughter who stems back to our great HF June 119B cow. Another Right Answer bull that checks all the boxes as a calving ease herd sire, that still has plenty of performance to add to the bottom line. His Musgrave Stunner dam 23H was my favourite first calver due to fleshing ability, udder quality and milking ability. These calves are raised on momma’s milk and grass, so finding those first calvers like 23H that can raise a high-quality calf their first year, while staying adequately fleshy is an impressive feat. 8K is super deep bodied, great haired and still powerful when you get behind him.

Three Rivers 11K is a powerhouse! Ellingson Three Rivers is a new sire group for us, and they did not disappoint. The Three Rivers calves pack unmatched performance, feed efficiency, and come in a larger framed package. We used Three Rivers 2 years in a row and each calf crop they get better and better. 11K is probably the longest bodied bull in our offering, while maintaining impressive body and muscle shape. 11K’s dam is a phenotypically correct, great uddered, SAV Seed Stock cow. 11K resides in the Top 5% for WW and YW. Right Answer 22K is possibly one of my favourite bulls to date, as he combines phenomenal calving-ease numbers while still being power and stout bodied. It’s hard to find a bull to combine both traits, but I feel 22K does it flawlessly. 22K is admirable from every angle and I can’t wait to see the impact he makes on his owner’s new herd. BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by their breed association unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

PEDIGREE ESTIMATES: Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations.

Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.

PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale managers, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

DELIVERY: We will assist in arranging transportation wherever possible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

INSURANCE: Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
