HERD HEALTH: The 2010 calves received Vista Once SQ and Vision 8 Somnus with SPUR in the spring as well as a booster in the fall. All sale cattle were treated with Iveron in the fall. The purebred bred heifers were pregnancy examined on September 15.

When Xtra was born, he was the spitting image of his sire - thick, lots of hair, and pigment. He has continued on with that pattern. His mother is a heavy milking Blockbuster daughter that descends from the old Rose cow family known for their longevity.

Another real eye appealing Coalition son that is bred very similar to the lot 5 & 6 calves. The maternal side of this pedigree is very strong. This is the youngest calf in the sale, but make sure you have a real good look. He is stout from end to end. The bottom side of his pedigree is very strong as you will see. We used Robin Hood on the heifers, after seeing the impact he has made on the industry. He did not disappoint us as these calves were born easy, got up, and grew, as you can see by this stout calf. The Ranchman females are making real nice cows.

We purchased her mother out of this sale two years ago, when she was one of the high selling bred heifers in Canada that fall. She turned out to be a super uddered 6P daughter that did not disappoint with 20W being her first calf. Like her mother 20W is yellow with lots of hair. If you are in the bull business this is definitely a heifer you will want to take a look at. She was exposed to Hawkeye 31R Tomahawk 1T from June 7th to Aug. 20th.

Tomahawk is an extremely long easy doing bull. I just love calving out heifers and cows bred to him. It doesn’t take them long and the calves sure get up in a hurry, very vigorous. Tomahawk also had good performance as he weaned off of a two year old at 1000 lbs with no creep on my native grass. Co-owned with Ross & Arlene Stafford.

TERMS: Terms are cash or cheque sale day unless prior arrangement have been made. TERMS ARE AVAILABLE. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of disputes, the auctioneer's decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids to the auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. PEDIGREES: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Hereford Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Proper instructions must be provided at the conclusion of the sale. Extensions granted on order bids only. Costs incurred due to incorrect transfer will be borne by the purchaser. Ownership will not be transferred until full settlement has been made. GUARANTEE: Each animal becomes the purchaser's risk immediately after the animal is sold. Females have been examined pregnant and considered breeders without any further guarantee. Bull calves, if failing to be breeders, will be replaced or credit given on purchase of replacement. LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The owners, their employees, sales staff and representatives, and facility owner assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. DELIVERY: Delivery at cost, at the buyers option and risk. Every assistance will be given in arranging the delivery of cattle. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
