Welcome from Bar 5... 3rd ANNUAL ONLINE SALE February 29, 2016 Introducing our 3rd Annual Internet Bull Sale with a twist, besides offering the pick of our 2015 Spring bull crop, we are also offering a great group of embryos picked from our extensive Inventory. To complete the sale we will offer a small number of straws of semen. The offering will be on line February 15, 2016 with bidding starting February 27, the closing process starting at 7 PM and closing approximately 5 minutes after all bidding stops. The bulls are on display at Bar 5. Everyone is welcome anytime to visit, view the bulls, enjoy a cup of coffee, all are welcome to attend the closing process at the farm. INSURANCE Bar 5 Simmental Farms recommends animals bought at the sale are insured after purchase with your current insurance company as each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. “DNA” PARENT VERIFICATION We DNA all of our animals so every bull and heifer has its Dam and Sire DNA’D. We have collected hair on every Bar 5 bull and heifer through the Test Station, for future DNA Marker or DNA recordation. Here is the calving ease bull that you could be looking for. His pedigree is built on calving ease for a number of generations while still accomplishing good performance. Another full brother is Bigolo 402A, one of our Herd Sires who is producing some exceptional calves. It’s hard to keep saying he is a full outcross to the Fleckvieh Industry, as we have sold a number of EPDS Spring 2016 this combination. Here, is an experiment that went right. We decided to breed one of the best cows in the breed CO 409M to one of our old standbys, Paymaster, and here is the result. Great looking bull calf that seems to have everything complete with great looking EPD’s. Yes yellow, but look at the thickness, profile, polled head, and well muscled for such a young calf.
